APPLICATION FOR FACULTY POSITION IN ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE

INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT CALCUTTA (IIMC), a leading management institution in the Asia-Pacific region, invites applications for Faculty Positions in the area of Accounting and Finance.

Eligibility: The Institute is looking for candidates with significant research output and with good teaching record. All candidates must have a doctoral degree in a relevant field (with a first class in the preceding degree) as the minimum qualifying criteria. Preference would be given to young candidates. Fresh Ph.D. candidates should be able to demonstrate their research and publication potential. Candidates with proven track records of publications in reputed peer reviewed journals commensurate with the rank would be preferred.

Finance Lab: IIMC has a state-of-the art 78-seater Financial Research and Trading Laboratory (Finance Lab). The Finance Lab has Bloomberg and Thomson Reuter terminals, Compustat, CRISP, WRDS, high-frequency order and trade book data from National Stock Exchange of India, Indian Corporate (listed and unlisted) data, bond market data etc.

Job Description: A faculty member is required to teach core and elective courses in various programs (at post-graduate and doctoral levels) as well as conduct high quality research. Tenure would depend on research publications and students feedback on teaching. Other responsibilities may include consulting, training and institutional service.
