The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi invites applications for faculty positions at the level of Assistant Professor Grade-I and Assistant Professor Grade-II in the School of Computing and Electrical Engineering in all areas of CS and EE with preference to the following areas:

For Assistant Professor Grade-I and Assistant Professor Grade-II Positions:

Applications are also invited for faculty positions at the level of Associate Professor in the School of Computing and Electrical Engineering in following specific areas of CS and EE: For Associate Professor Positions:

Human computer interaction & cognitive modelling Wireless communication & information theory Radiation hard analog circuit designing Non-invasive diagnostic systems for healthcare Digital pathology Development of Silicon PV devices and technology

Applicants should have a passion for teaching, should be exceptionally motivated, and should have an established record of high-quality research. IIT Mandi promotes an interdisciplinary culture and SCEE faculty can collaborate with Institute faculty in other areas of engineering, basic sciences, and humanities and social sciences. A Ph.D. degree is necessary for a faculty position at IIT Mandi; however, candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis recently or are close to completing their Ph.D. degree may also apply for the posts of Assistant Professor Grade-I and Assistant Professor Grade-II. The essential qualification, experience, and pay scale for the post of Associate Professor are given below: Essential qualifications

Ph.D. in a relevant area with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree with consistently good academic record throughout. Experience:

A minimum of 6 years teaching/research/professional experience of which at least three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor in an academic institution or equivalent position in a research organization or industry at the time of screening and shortlisting the applications. The candidate should have demonstrated adequate experience of independent research in terms of guidance of PhD students, strong research record, including publications in highly reputed peer reviewed journals, patents, laboratory/course development, sponsored research projects and/or other recognized relevant professional activities. Candidates who do not fulfill such minimum experience requirements may be offered appointment at the Assistant Professor Grade I or Assistant Professor Grade II level, depending upon the academic credentials.
