ADVERTISEMENT FOR POST DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP POSITION

The Department of Physics at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee invites

applications from outstanding and enthusiastic researchers for postdoctoral position under the

mentorship of Dr. Soumitra Satapathi, (Assistant Professor), focused on Fabrication of lead free perovskites solar cells.

The prospective candidate is expected to have a strong background in the area of Device Physics specially related to Organic Solar Cells. Candidate should have experience of working on cutting edge research and should have publications in peer reviewed journals. Other research activities may include synthesizing materials as well as characterization of materials.

Last date for submission of application is 23 May, 2018. Department intends to fill the said position by June 10, 2018.

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

Ph.D in Physical Science/Chemical Science/Material Science/Science

Duration and Fellowship amount:

The duration of the fellowship will be of two years extendable to three years, if necessary. The

candidate is expected to join the Department as soon as offer letter has been released. The fellow

will receive a consolidated fellowship as below in addition with the contingency grant of Rs. 20,000/-per annum.

First Year: Rs. 50,000/- per month

Second Year: Rs.55, 000/- per month

(i) All the postdoctoral fellows (PDF) will be registered as IIT Roorkee students for availing the facilities of accommodation, hospital, medical insurance scheme, computer centre, library, sports etc.

(ii) The candidate called for discussion/interview will be reimburse Bus/Train (II0AC) fare from their place of residence/work and back by the shortest route within India on production of train/bus tickets of PNR number.
