4. Qualifications and Experience

Essential

Ph.D. / Doctorate in any discipline

Minimum 15 years of experience with at least 7 years of experience in education policy development / reformand administration, examination reform and human and institutional capacity development in the domain of educationOR Retired officers from Government / relevant Industry with minimum last 10 of years of experience in policy development and administration, organizational development, human and institutional capacity development in education domain

Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership position in reputed Government or private institutions like VC/Registrar/Dean of Central/State University or Director / Joint Director / Advisor at institutions likeUGC, AICTE, NCERT,CBSE, State Education Boards

Less than 70 years of age as on 1st January 2017

Experience of working with state and national level large scale projects (budget value of more than Rs. 500 crores) will be given preference with proven records of execution of the project

Proven track record of working in the education domain with state / central government / bilateral / multilateral organizations on programs of similar nature and size

Acknowledged capabilities in planning, coordinating and implementing activities related to institutional turnaround programmes

Certificates / Diploma / Courses in relevant areas will add weight to the candidature
