Mechanical Engineer

IIMAs Maintenance Department is looking for a young and dynamic Mechanical Engineer. The main job description is as follows.

Job Description:

To perform, supervise, and coordinate professional HVAC, fire-fighting, sewerage treatment plant and water supply works in the field and office, and to perform related works as required.

Operating, Repair and maintenance of window/ split/ ductable split/ VRV/ package/ central air condition plant, water cooler, air cooler, fridge, deep fridge, cold storages, etc.

Responsible for managing minor and major works/projects, and for supervising subordinate engineering staff performing several projects.

Maintenance of Pumps, Bore wells, water tanks, water supply network, water softening plants, Air conditioning plants, solar water heating systems, RO plants, Individual AC and other mechanical equipment in the campus, fire-fighting systems, Elevators, etc.

Managing contractors routine and preventive maintenance.

Project work for the HVAC.

Other duties specified by the Head of the department

Knowledge & skills:

Planning, Quantity survey, Estimation, basic knowledge on designing of HVAC and water supply systems, site supervision & billing.

Complete Project Management.

Knowledge of CPM/PERT is must.

Use of computer software like MS office, MS Projects/Project Management Software

Qualification, Experience & Skill Requirements:

The candidate should possess full time Degree in Mechanical Engineering with first class from a recognised university.

Minimum ten (10) years of experience in field of Mechanical Engineering.

Supervisory experience in planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the campus / township mechanical field related development & maintenance is highly desirable.

Age: Max. 40 years as on the last date of application.

Salary & Allowances: Selected candidate will be offered a fixed term appointment initially for a period of three years on a consolidated monthly salary on CTC mode. The contract may be extended further as per the mutual convenience. During the contract period or after the successful completion of the contract, if the performance of the candidate is found very well and Institute is in need of such position, Institute may confirm the candidate in a suitable pay scale with or without further probation, depending on duration of earlier contract and performance.
