Electrical Engineer

IIMAs Electrical Department is looking for a young and dynamic Electrical Engineer. The job description of this middle management position is as follows.

Job Description:

To perform, supervise, and coordinate professional electrical engineering works in the field and office, and to perform related works as required.

Responsible for managing minor and major works/projects, and for supervising subordinate engineering staff performing several projects.

Familiar in tender procedures, formulating tender specification, quantity estimation and checking of RA bills.

HT/ LT distribution, Electrical substation, housing area electrical maintenance, college area electrical maintenance, Cabling, lifts, DG Sets, Energy auditing, Transformers, Electrical network maintenance of the campus, electrical support at the time of the event, metering, Data and telephone networking, government related liaison works, pumping, bore wells, etc.

Other duties specified by the Head of the Department.

Knowledge & skills:

Planning, Quantity survey, Estimation, quality assuarance at site, site supervision & billing.

Complete Project Management.

Knowledge on basic designs for electrical systems.

Knowledge of CPM/PERT is must.

Use of computer software like MS office, MS Projects/Project Management Software.

Record keeping.

Qualification, Experience & Skill Requirements:

The candidate should possess full time Degree in Electrical Engineering with first class from a recognised university.

Minimum ten (10) years of experience in electrical engineering.

Must have qualifications to get an electrical engineers licence in Gandhinagar/ Ahmedabad.

Supervisory experience in planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the campus/ township electrical field related development & maintenance is highly desirable.

Age: Max. 40 years on the last date of application.

Salary & Allowances: Selected candidate will be offered a fixed term appointment initially for a period of three years on a consolidated monthly salary on CTC mode. The contract may be extended further as per the mutual convenience. During the contract period or after the successful completion of the contract, if the performance of the candidate is found very well and Institute is in need of such position, Institute may confirm the candidate in a

suitable pay scale with or without further probation, depending on duration of earlier contract and performance.
