C) Qualifications & Experience : As Prescribed by Dental Council of India as under.

Dental Staff	Qualification & Experience
Dean / Principal	a) A BDS degree of an Indian University or an equivalent qualification. b) Post-Graduate qualification / Diplomat of National Board in the subject. c) Experience as Professor for not less than 5 years in a Dental Institution.
Professor	a) A BDS degree of an Indian University or an equivalent qualification. b) Post-Graduate qualification / Diplomat of National Board in the subject. c) 5 years teaching experience as Reader.
Reader	a) A BDS degree of an Indian University or an equivalent qualification. b) Post-Graduate qualification / Diplomat of National Board in the subject. c) 4 years teaching experience as Lecturer.
Lecturer	a) A recognised MDS degree of an Indian University / Diplomat of National Board or an equivalent qualification.
Tutor	a) A recognised BDS degree of Indian University or an equivalent qualification with at least one year experience.
Note : In case of individuals with discrepancy between teaching experience and the post-graduate qualification, a reference may be made to the Dental Council of India through competent authority for consideration. This is not applicable for future entrants
Medical Staff	Qualification & Experience
Reader	a) Requisite recognized PG Medical qualifications in the concerned Subject. b) Minimum of 4 years teaching experience as Lecturer / Assistant Professor in a recognized Medical college / Institute in the concerned Subject. c) Minimum of two Research publications in indexed / National journal.
Lecturer	a) Requisite MBBS qualifications recognized by MCI. b) Minimum of 3 years teaching experience as Resident / Registrar / Demonstrator / Tutor in a recognized Medical college / Institute in the concerned Subject.
Notes: 1) In the Department of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology and Microbiology, non-medical teachers may be appointed to the extent of 30% of the total number of the post in the department. A non - medical approved medical M.Sc. qualification shall be a sufficient qualification for appointment as a Lecturer in the subject concerned, but for the promotion to the higher teaching post a candidate must possesses the Ph.D, degree in the subject. 2) In the department of Bio-chemistry, non - medical teachers may be appointed to the extent of 50% of the total number of post in the department.

D) General Notes :

1) Horizontal Reservation for Ladies as per Govt. rules and Persons with Disabilities Reservation as per GR. Dtd. 27/04/2011, 04/08/2011, 28/07/2014 & Medical Education and Drugs Department, Mumbai letter Dtd. 30/06/2015.

2) Candidates applying for reserve category post(s) should submit caste certificate & caste validity certificate and also recent non-creamy layer certificate, wherever applicable.

3) The benefits of reservation shall be admissible to the backward class / category candidates who are domiciled in the state of Maharashtra only.

4) Age Limit & Educational Qualifications shall be considered up-to last date of the application & experience shall be considered up-to earlier day of the interview.

5) The decision taken by MUHS authorities regarding essential qualifications and experience shall be applicable, from time to time.

6) Qualified teachers above the age of 64 years will be considered for appointment of one one year, as per respective Councils norms.

7) Pay Scale is as per rules.

8) Application along-with attested copies of all relevant Certificates must reach to the college on or before: 10/ 01/ 2018. ( Exact date is to be specified)
