Note: In case the number of candidates for the interview is more than the ratio of 1:10, then a written test will also be conducted for shortlisting the candidates.

2. Qualifications:

(i) For Sr. No. 1

For Humanities:- Management

Essential:

i) Masters degree with minimum 55% marks in Business Administration/ Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Management/ Post Graduate Diploma in Management Administration/ Commerce/ Economics followed by Ph.D./ Fellowship from Indian Institute of Management or equivalent in the relevant area.

OR

ii) First class Bachelors degree in Engineering and First class degree in Business Administration/Post Graduate diploma awarded by Indian Institute of Management or its equivalent followed by Ph.D./ Fellowship from Indian Institute of Management or equivalent in the relevant area.

(ii) For Sr. No. 2

For Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics

Essential:

i) First class (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master's degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

ii) Cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

iii) Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. degree) Regulations, 2009.

(iii) For Sr. No. 3 to 6 & 8 to 11

Essential:

1. First class in both Masters Degree and Bachelor Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering (Engg.) & Technology (Tech.).

2. Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable:

i) Teaching, research, industrial and/ or professional experience in a reputed organization.

ii) Papers presented at conferences and/or in refereed journals.

iii) Candidates with PhD would be considered for higher emoluments.

(iii) For Sr. No. 7

Essential:

i) First class in both Master's Degree and Bachelor Degree in Engineering &/ or Technology in the field of Metallurgy / Materials.

Or

ii) First class in both Master's Degree and Bachelor Degree Mechanical (Engineering / Technology)/ Production (Engineering/ Technology) followed by Ph.D. in materials/ Metallurgy related topic.

Or

iii) First class in Bachelor Degree in Mechanical (Engineering/ Technology)/ Production (Engineering / Technology) followed by First class in Master's Degree in Engineering &/ or Technology in Materials / Metallurgy with Ph.D. in Materials / Metallurgy related topic.

Or

iv) First class in Master's Degree in Material Science / Chemistry / Physics followed by first class in Master's Degree of Engineering &/ or Technology in Materials / Metallurgy with Ph. D in Materials / Metallurgy related topic.

Desirable

1. Teaching, research, industrial and/ or profession al experience in a reputed organization.

2. Papers presented at Conference and/or in refereed journals.

3. The candidate should be a citizen of India. Candidates from transgender may also apply.

4. Emoluments:

i) Pay for candidates with M.E. / M.Tech. and Ph.D. in Applied Science will be

Rs.48, 000/- (Consolidated)

ii) Pay for candidates with Ph.D. in Engineering will be Rs.52,000/- (Consolidated)

iii) Higher pay shall be offered to exceptionally qualified candidates.

5. Age : As per Rules.

6. The candidates may report for walk-in interview along with original documents and one-self attested copy of documents in the Seminar Room, New Academic Block, PEC University of Technology, Chandigarh as per above schedule. List of documents to prove: Identity, Passport size photograph, Age, Category (SC/PwD/OBC), Educational Qualification, Experience, Research Papers etc.

7. SC/OBC certificate, on the prescribed form only and issued by the competent authority declared by the Government of India will be accepted as proof in support of claim as SC/OBC candidate.

8. Visually disabled / Hearing disabled/ orthopedically disabled shall produce medical certificate issued by competent authority.

9. Existing norms of the Government of India for age relaxation and other relaxation (if any) in reservation will be followed.

10. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

11. Number of posts may vary at the time of interview.
