Walk-in Interview for SRF Position

Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in a Indo-Korean joint project titled Robust Motion control Design for an Underwater Robot with Tilting Thrusters. Selected SRF will be involved in design and implementation of motion control for an underwater robot with tilting thrusters. The date of interview is on 03/05/2018.

Duration: The project duration is for 3 years and the initial appointment will be for one year, and is extendable further based on satisfactory performance.

Emolument: The amount of SRF fellowship will be Rs. 28,000/- per month plus 20% HRA.

Eligibility:

Essential Qualification: ME/MTech in relevant branch of Mechanical Engineering (GATE qualified in any year) with three years of experience in research/teaching/design and development

and/or

B.E./B.Tech. in relevant branch of Mechanical Engineering (GATE qualified in any year) with five years of experience in research/teaching/design and development.

Candidates should have a minimum of 60 % (or equivalent) in graduate / postgraduate levels.

Age limit: 32/35 years (SRF). Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates is as per Government of India norms.

Skillsets:

Candidates having experience in underwater vehicle design and development are desirable.

Candidates fulfilling the above eligibility qualifications are strongly encouraged to appear for a walk-in interview and/or written test, the details of which are given below. The candidates should bring the following documents at the time of written test and/or interview:

  1. Detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) along with valid photographic identity card and passport size photograph.

  2. Original and attested photocopies of all documents, certificates, degrees and mark sheets (Xth class onwards).

  3. Original and one attested photocopy of GATE score card and/or CSIR-JRF/NET examination result, if applicable.

  4. Copies of certificates/testimonials/documents which the candidate may wish to bring to the knowledge of the selection committee.

  5. No communication with regard to selection process would be entertained.

  6. Merely fulfilling the eligibility will not entitle any candidate for shortlisting.

  7. This appointment will be on a purely temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. No TA and/or DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview and/or written test. Candidates should make their own arrangements for stay.
