Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of Project Fellow in a DST funded Research Project entitled Exploration of cis elements in attracting AID to proto-oncogenes BCL6 and MYC leading to B-lymphoma".

Objectives of the Project

The main aim of project is to identify the cis-acting regulatory elements present on the proto-oncogenes BCL6 and MYC, responsible for attracting AID, by mapping of these gene sequences, followed by cell culture experiment to validate the same.

Eligibility

Essential Qualification:

M.Sc. (with valid GATE)/ M. Tech. Degree or equivalent in streams like Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Life Sciences or in any other science and engineering stream.

Desirable:

Candidates having experience in working in the area of Molecular Biology and familiar with cell culture techniques are encouraged to apply. CSIR / UGC/ DBT-JRF fellowship holders would be preferred.

Monthly Stipend:

As per norms (i.e. about Rs. 25,000 + 20% HRA (if hostel accommodation is not provided))

Duration:

Initial appointment will be for 6 months, which is extendable solely based on performance.
