IIT Indore is an institution of National Importance established by the Government of India in 2009. It is one of the eight Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India under The Institutes of Technology Act, 1961 (amended in 2012) in 2008 & 2009. Its campus is located in Simrol, Indore, Madhya Pradesh which is approximately 25 km from downtown Indore.

IIT Indore invites applications from Indian nationals having excellent academic record and relevant work experience for the following position purely on temporary and contractual basis:

1. Chief Infrastructure Engineer (On Contract) 1- Post

Qualification & Experience: First class M.Tech degree in Civil Engineering with Minimum of 15 years experience in Civil Engineering, particularly in Construction, Planning, Contract Management and Execution of Building works and functional services such as water supply, sewerage, road etc. Further, candidates should have worked at least 2 years in the capacity of Superintending Engineer i.e. in Level 13 as per 7th CPC.

Desirable: Officials having a PhD in relevant areas with experience of working in Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) shall be given preference.

Salary: The salary will be Rs. 1,00,000/- per month (consolidated).

Upper Age Limit: 65 Years

General Instructions:

1. The Institute shall have the right to restrict the number of the candidates to be called for interview on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed or any other criteria that it may deem fit.

2. Experience will be reckoned on last date of submission of application.

3. Candidates who have not acquired the educational qualification (declaration of results) on the closing date of receipt of application shall not apply.

4. Candidature of applicant shall be subjected to verification of testimonials at a subsequent stage i.e., at the time of interview. In case candidate fails to submit the required supporting documents (as mentioned by them in their application form), his / her candidature shall not be considered for interview.

5. The institute will have the right to relax any of the eligibility criteria in deserving case for the advertised post.

6. Institute reserves the right to not to fill up / cancel the post advertised without assigning any reason.

7. Only screened-in applicants will be called for interview. No interim correspondence whatsoever will be entertained from candidates regarding conduct and result of interview and reasons for not being called for interview.

8. Shortlisted candidates for interview and finally selected candidates only will be informed individually via e-mail correspondence on their registered e-mail id.

9. The appointment will be for a maximum period of two years or completion of construction activities whichever is earlier. He / She will also entitle for Earned Leave and Casual Leave as per Institute rules.

10. The contractual appointment is not a regular employment and does not entitle any claim or privileges or benefits of regular employment.

11. Dates of interview conduction will be informed separately to shortlisted candidates.

12. Decision of IIT Indore will be firm and final.

13. The Institute has the right to increase/decrease the number of vacancies advertised.

14. Candidates, who are fulfilling the above eligibility criteria, and willing to apply for the post are requested to send scanned copy of filled in application form in the prescribed format along with supporting documents at careers@iiti.ac.in on or before 25-06-2018. At the time of appearing in the interview candidates must bring all their original, self-attested set of photocopies of qualification and experience certificates as mentioned in application form.
