Walk-in interview for PhD in Department of Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Hyderabad is inviting interested and eligible candidates to enroll themselves for admission to the Doctor in Philosophy (Ph.D.) programme in Chemistry, for the academic session August 2018 through walk-in interview scheduled on 17th May, 2018.

Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D. Program

The candidates should possess a Master degree with good academic record.

The candidates must have a valid UGC-JRF or CSIR-JRF or DST INSPIRE score card/certificate in the time of interview.

How to apply:

Interested and eligible candidates should report at Academic Block 'A', IIT Hyderabad, Kandi, Sangareddy at 9:00 a. m. on 17th May, 2017. In addition, send an email to the convenor about your participation through this email: cy_phdadm@iith.ac.in .

Applicants should pay the application fee of Rs 300/ (Rs 150 for SC/ST/OBC) during the interview. Candidates attending for interview for PhD are eligible for reimbursement of TA single second class (reserved sleeper) train/bus fare by the shortest route from their city/town of residence to IIT Hyderabad and back for attending the interview on submission of the claim in the prescribed format with all relevant particulars (Bus/Train No., Coach No, Ticket No., Fare Paid, Date of Journey, Station from and to, etc). Only one claim is admissible though you may attend more than one interview at this institute in the same trip.

Please carry valid UGC-JRF or CSIR-JRF or DST INSPIRE score card/certificate, along with your all degree certificates (original + one copy) from 10th onwards, and DOB and category certificate (if applicable).

Venue of Interview: Room 414, Academic Block 'A', IIT Hyderabad, Kandi, Sangareddy at 9:00 a.m on 17th May, 2018.

Important Notes:

Department may follow certain cut-off criteria:

Depending on the departmental requirement and based on the total number of applications received.

Based on the number of applications received for individual research discipline.

The number of applications received in preference to each research discipline (i.e. first preference given by the candidate).

SC/ST and OBC reservation will be implemented as per the Government rules.

Rules set by the IITH Senate will be applied.
