Sub: Engagement of Nurses on purely contractual basis in IIT (ISM), Dhanbad regarding.

The Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad invites applications for engagement of Nurses on purely contractual basis, for one year initially and renewable on year to year basis till such time there is a felt need of their services, subject to satisfactory performance to be evaluated by the Competent Authority. The details regarding eligibility criteria, terms of references etc. are as under:

Nurse (purely on Contract) - 2 (Two)

Essential Qualification:

Three years diploma in Nursing recognised by the Nursing Council of India.

Desirable:

a) B. Sc. in Nursing Science.

b) Experience in reputed hospitals

Age limit:

Below 30 years of age. (Upper age limit may be relaxed in exceptional cases)

Remuneration:

The Nurses engaged will be paid a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 20000/- per month. However, the candidates having experience of working for more than 2 years in reputed hospitals may be considered for an additional remuneration on negotiable basis not exceeding Rs. 5000/- per month over and above Rs. 20000/-. No other facility, allowance etc. shall be admissible.

Increment:

If the period of Contract is extended beyond one year, an annual increment of 5% on the monthly remuneration shall be admissible.

General Terms and Conditions:

i. The engagement would be purely on contractual basis for a period of one year initially, subject to satisfactory performance, at the sole discretion of this Institute. Any claim for absorption at the regular position in the Institute will not be entertained at any point of time.

ii. The period of engagement of Nurses shall not exceed beyond the age of 70 years.

iii. The Nurses shall be eligible for 08 days of Casual leave in a calendar year. This leave will not be carried forward in case the engagement period is extended by this Institute. Also, no payment in lieu of unutilised leave will be paid by this Institute at the time of expiry of contract.

iv. The Institute may terminate the services of the Nurses in case he/she is unable to perform their duty to the satisfaction of the Competent Authority.

v. The Institute shall also reserve the right to terminate the services of the Nurses at any time without giving any notice and also without assigning any reason.

vi. The Nurses shall have to attend office six days a week in three shifts. (Morning Shift, General Shift, Night Shift) as per roster of duties to be assigned by the Institute.

vii. The Nurses will be required to attend duty on Saturdays, Sundays and other Gazetted Holidays or may be asked to attend patient after prescribed duty hours, in case of exigencies. No extra remuneration will be admissible for the same.

viii. The Nurses may continue to draw pension and dearness relief on pension, if any, during the period of their engagement as Nurse. This engagement as Nurse shall not be considered as a case of re-employment.

ix. No TA/DA shall be admissible to the Nurses for joining the assignment. Nurses will not be allowed any foreign travel at Institutes expenses. However, he/she may be allowed TA/DA for travel inside the country in connection with official work assigned to him/her.

x. The Headquarters of the Nurses will be at Dhanbad.

xi. Any resultant dispute shall be settled within the jurisdiction of Dhanbad.
