Subject: Advertisement for the post of Research Associate position
The Department of Liberal Arts at IIT Hyderabad invites applications from bright candidates with excellent academic credentials for the position of two Research Associate under the project titled Patterns of Innovation, Technological Competition and Firm Performance in Case of Indian Manufacturing Sector, sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), MHRD, Government of India. The responsibilities of aforementioned position include review of relevant literature, data collection, field visit, data analysis and writing the initial project report.

Period of Appointment |
Initial appointment will be given for a period of 11 months and extendable to another 10 months based on performance. |

Essential Qualification |
The minimum requirement for this position is (M.A/M.Sc. degree in Economics with minimum 55% or equivalent CGPA) and UGC-NET/M.Phil./Ph.D. |
|
Desirable Experience |
Candidates having experience in project related to industrial economics, field visit, and basic knowledge in econometrics softwares like STATA/ SPSS/EViews are desirable (although not mandatory). |

Remuneration |
Consolidated monthly emoluments Rs.20,000/- |
|
Age Limit |
Not to exceed 30 years as on the date of this advertisement. |

- The candidates will be shortlisted based on merit and will be intimated via e-mail. They need to appear for an interview preferably before 20 June, 2018 at IIT Hyderabad. The selected candidates need to join the project at the earliest, 01 July, 2018.
- Candidates appearing for interview should produce originals of degree certificates and mark sheets, date of birth proof and any other relevant information.
- No TA/DA will be payable to candidates appearing for interview.
Selection: Mere fulfilment of minimum educational qualification does not necessarily entitle applicants to be called for interview. The Institute reserves the right to call only the requisite number of candidates based on qualification and suitability.
