Applications are invited online only by One Time Registration from qualified candidates belonging to the reservation communities of Kerala State for selection to the post mentioned below. Candidates who have already registered can apply through their profile. Those who have Aadhar, should add the same as ID proof in their Profile.

Notes:

(i)

Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than notified will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued.

(ii)

The above vacancies are now in existence. Ranked list will be prepared for each district in pursuance of this notification and shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above communities, but remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post as detailed below.

(iii) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O (Ms) No. 154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O(MS) No.4/61/PD dated, 02.01.1961. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified.

(iv)

In the case of direct recruitment, preference shall be given to Ex-servicemen.

(v)

Candidates appointed by direct recruitment will be on probation for a period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years and the candidates appointed shall undergo a training as may be prescribed by the Commissioner of Excise for a period of not less than 6 months, subject to the minimum of 180 working days. The period of training shall count for probation and increment. Who did not undergo basic training within a period of two years and those who didnt successfully complete the basic training shall not be considered for further promotion.

(vi)

NCC Cadets having `A' `B' & `C' Certificates will be given weightage marks at the rate of 2%, 3% and 5% respectively.

5 Method of Appointment : Direct Recruitment (from male candidates . belonging to OBC, OX, SIUC Nadar and Viswakarma communities only)

19-36: Candidates born between 02.01.1982 and 01.01.1999 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post in the case of OX candidates. (including age relaxation as per para 2(i) of the general conditions)

7 Qualifications :.

1 Must have passed the Plus Two examination or its equivalent.

[KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable.]

2 Physical: Must not be less than 165 cms in height and 81 cms round the chest with a minimum expansion of 5 cms.

3 Physique and Eyesight

(i)

Must be certified by a Medical Officer to his physique fitness and capacity for active outdoor work. The Medical Certificate has to be produced as and when called for.

(ii)

Must be certified to possess the visual standards specified below without glasses

rank of an Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant should be produced at the time of Physical Efficiency Test/Endurance Test and should be uploaded in their Profile at the time of Certificate Verification. A format of Medical Certificate is given below.

(Office Seal) Note: Details regarding standards of vision should be clearly stated in the Certificate as given

above and vague statement such as Vision Normal/good will not be accepted. Specification for

each eye should be stated separately. If the specification are not as indicated above, the officer

issuing the Certificate should certify whether the candidate has got better standards of vision or

worse standards of vision as the case may be, otherwise the Certificate will not be accepted.

4.	Endurance Test:-Must qualify in the Endurance Test of completing two kilometers race within 13 minutes.
5.	Must qualify in any five events out of eight events specified below of the National Physical Efficiency Test (One Star Standard Test)

The Physical measurement of candidates will be taken at the time of physical efficiency test and those who do not possess the prescribed physical measurement will not be admitted for the physical efficiency test. If accidents or injuries happen to a candidate while participating in the Physical Efficiency Test, he will not be given further chance to participate in the test.

8. Mode of submitting applications:-

Candidates must register as per ONE TIME REGISTRATION with the official Website of Kerala Public Service Commission viz., www.keralapsc.gov.in before applying for the post. Candidates who have registered can apply by logging on to their profile using their User-ID and password. Candidates must click on the Apply Now button of the respective posts in the Notification Link to apply for a post. The Photograph uploaded should be one taken on or after 31/12/2010. Name of the candidate and the date of taking photograph should be printed at the bottom portion. The photograph once uploaded meeting all requirements shall valid for 10 years from the date of uploading. There is no change in other instructions regarding the uploading of photographs. No application fee is required. Candidates shall take a printout of the application by clicking the link Applications in their profile. Candidates are responsible for the correctness of their personal information and secrecy of password. Before the final submission of the application, candidates must ensure correctness of the information they have entered. They must quote the User-ID for further communication with the Commission. Application submitted is provisional and cannot be deleted or altered after submission. The application will be summarily rejected if noncompliance with the notification is found in due course of processing. Documents to prove qualification, Experience, Community, age etc. have to be produced as and when called for.
