Development of Adaptive Double Sided Incremental Forming Process for Dieless Manufacturing

Written test and interview is scheduled on Monday, May 07, 2018 for the post of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and/or Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) in the research project titled Development of Adaptive Double Sided Incremental Forming Process for Dieless Manufacturing funded by IMPRINT-India, Government of India, under the supervision of Prof. Puneet Tandon, Principal Investigator, Mechanical Engineering, PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur. The details are given below:

Name of available posts and positions

Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and/or Senior Research Fellowship (SRF): Two posts are available. However as per the requirement and performance one or both position can be filled. Candidate may be offered JRF or SRF position as per the suitability of the candidate to the post.

Essential Qualifications

For JRF: ME/MTech in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in relevant field (Machine Design, Manufacturing or CAD/CAM). Candidate must have cleared GATE (any time in past). Candidates having good academic and research background will be given preference.

For SRF: Same as JRF. In addition, minimum two years of research experience in the relevant field.

Desirables: Candidate having knowledge of Metal Forming, Machine Tool Design, Computer Aided Design & Manufacturing, Vibration & Control, Instrumentation, Solid Mechanics, etc. will be preferred.

Age limit: Preferably below 30 years as on date of interview.

Fellowship:

For JRF: Rs. 25,000/- per month for the first two years thereafter Rs. 28,000/- per month.

For SRF: Rs. 28,000/- per month.

General Terms and Conditions:

1. Candidates will be selected for this position through the selection committee of regular/part-time PhD programme of the Institute, to be held on Monday, May 7, 2018, and will be admitted to Ph.D. program as Project Staff provided satisfying the eligibility criteria for the PhD programme and JRF/SRF.

2. Candidates who have already applied for full time PhD program can also give the option to be considered in Project Staff category under this project.

3. Only Indian nationals are eligible to appear for this Written Test and Interview.

4. The position is purely temporary and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of three years or till the completion of project whichever is earlier.

5. The candidates willing to attend the written test and interview are required to send their confirmation through email by Friday, May 4, 2018 to delogic@iiitdmj.ac.in with their detailed CV.

6. In case suitable candidate is not found for the post of SRF, candidates may be offered position of JRF.

7. Original documents of age proof/certificates/degrees/mark sheets must be presented at the time of interview.

8. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Selection Procedure: Written Test and Interview.

Reporting Date and Time: The written and interview will be held at Mechanical Engineering Department, PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur on Monday, 07th May at 09:00 am. Candidates are expected to bring completely filled application form along with detailed CV, their original mark sheets and documents.
