Development of Adaptive Double Sided Incremental Forming Process for Dieless Manufacturing

Applications are invited for the posts of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the research project titled Development of Adaptive Double Sided Incremental Forming Process for Dieless Manufacturing funded by IMPRINT-India, Government of India, under the supervision of Prof. Puneet Tandon, Principal Investigator, Mechanical Engineering, PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur. The details are given below:

Name of available posts and positions

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Only one post is available. As per the requirement and performance candidate may be offered JRF or SRF position.

Essential Qualifications:

For JRF: ME/MTech in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in relevant field (Machine Design, Manufacturing or CAD/CAM). Candidate must have cleared GATE (any time in past). Candidates having good academic and research background will be given preference.

For SRF: Same as JRF. In addition, minimum two years of research experience in the relevant field.

Desirables: Candidate having knowledge of Metal Forming, Machine Tool Design, Computer Aided Design & Manufacturing, Vibration & Control, Instrumentation, Solid Mechanics, etc. will be preferred.

Age limit: Preferably below 30 years as on June 25, 2018.

Salary:

For JRF: Rs. 25,000/- per month for the first two years thereafter Rs. 28,000/- per month.

For SRF: Rs. 28,000/- per month.

General Terms and Conditions:

1. Only Indian nationals are eligible to appear for this selection process.

2. The position is purely temporary and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance till the completion of project.

3. Candidate selected for this position can also apply for the regular/part-time Ph.D. program in the Institute provided satisfying the eligibility criteria for the Ph.D. program.

4. Only shortlisted candidates will be communicated to appear in the interview and no other communication in this regard will be entertained.

5. Original documents of age proof/certificates/degrees/mark sheets must be presented at the time of interview.

6. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

7. In case, suitable candidate is not found for the post of SRF, candidates may be offered position of JRF.
