IIT Jammu invites online applications from qualified Indian Nationals for filling up following posts: -

Prescribed Minimum Qualification / Experience:

1. Advisor External Relations

IIT Jammu is operating from two locations i.e. Temporary Campus at Paloura and Transit Campus at Jagti. The institute has about 100 Student and staff at Paloura and about 150 at Jagti. This strength shall go up in July 2018 by around 170 students.

The Institute is also having two transit houses at Paloura and another set of Guest rooms at Jagti. Jagti will have additional guest houses in coming months as part of the campus.

Both the campuses also run their separate messes for food for students at both locations.

A number of Faculty members from IIT Delhi and other institutes visit IIT Jammu on regular basis. The visitors are accommodated in Hotels and Guest Houses. The transport from Airport / Railway stations is provided by the institute.

While both Hostels are managed by the care takers one each for the two locations, the transit houses require better management.

Considering the requirements above, IIT Jammu invites applications from Indian nationals for the post of Advisor External Relations on contract basis.

Responsibilities: -Efficient management of Institute accommodation of hostels and Transit Houses, including, Housekeeping, Hygiene and Boarding and Lodging facilities.

He shall also manage all logistics for Faculty and other visitors to IIT Jammu, arrange for their Boarding, Lodging and transport etc. IIT JM also has running contract with few hotels in Jammu to accommodate our guests.

Based on the requirement he shall arrange accommodation of visiting dignitaries in the hotels/ Guest houses.

He shall also manage all official functions logistics for refreshments etc.

He shall work under direct control of OSD. Both of the Care takers, logistics, Guest House Keeper and transport controller shall report to him.

Qualifications:

An Ex-Army officer of the rank of Lt.Col and equivalent familiar with the Admin, Logistics, hospitality, and security systems with more than 20 Years of Service. An officer from J & K familiar with local conditions would be preferred.

Age less than or equal to 62 Years

Graduate with more than 20 years of relevant experience in Administration. Experience in logistics will be preferred.

Working knowledge in Computer office tools.

Proposed remuneration: Rs 70,000/-per month

The above induction shall be on contract basis for one year extendable based on the performance of individuals for another one year.
