Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (on contract) in research project entitled Electrospinning of lead free NBTBT6 based materials for sensors and energy harvesting applications in reference to the sanction letter, File Number: ECR/2017/001013 dated: 04-Apr-2017 by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science & Technology, New Delhi-110070.

Name of Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Number of Position: 01 (one)

Project Duration: Three (03) Years

Age Limit: Maximum 35 Years as on the last date of application.

Fellowship: 25,000/-pm (Fixed)

Essential Qualifications:

1) M.Tech/M.E in Materials Science/Nanoscience and Nanotechnology/Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering or in equivalent stream with at least 7.0 CGPA or above 60 percent marks in aggregate from a recognized technical institute or university as a full time program.

OR

2) M.Sc in Physics/Applied Physics/Engineering Physics / Materials Science / Nanoscience and Nanotechnology or in equivalent stream with at least 7.0 CGPA or above 60 percent marks in aggregate from a recognized technical institute or university as a full time program.

Desirable qualification: Qualified NET-JRF/GATE or any other national/state level examination

Desirable experiences:

Experience in ceramics processing, Electrospinning of ceramic fiber, thin film deposition

Also, Candidate should have a knowledge of electronic material characterization such as XRD, profilometer, SEM, AFM, etc. and device characterization such as electrical conductivity, CV, impedance measurements and PE measurement etc.

2) Shortlisted Candidates will be intimated by email (apart from website). The candidates must provide valid E-mail IDs in the application. The candidate will have to attend the interview at their own cost. TA/DA is not admissible for attending the interview or for joining the post.

3) An interview will be conducted for all the eligible candidates. The applicants need to bring all the original documents for verification during interview. The list of shortlisted candidates will be posted in the IIIT Nagpur website (www.iiitn.ac.in) along with the date and time of the interview.

4) The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of information, other documents and photographs submitted.

5) Applicants in employment (private, government or any other organization) are required to submit a No Objection Certificate from the employer at the time of interview.

6) The Institute reserves the right to accept application at any time, and consider candidates of exceptional credentials without applications. Qualification and experience may be relaxed by the Institute at any point o f time for otherwise exceptional candidates.

7) Mere possessing the prescribed qualification does not ensure that the candidate would be called for Interview. The Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit and/or research experience.

8) Appointment will be given initially a period of one year and extendable every year with maximum duration of 3 years or duration of Project whichever is earlier and based on satisfactory performance.
