The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is responsible for development, maintenance and management of National Highways entrusted to it and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

NHAI proposes to engage the services of retired officer (preferably IPS Officer not below the rank of Inspector General of Police) at the level of GP Rs.10,000/- (6th CPC)/Level 14 (7th CPC) and above as Advisor (HOU) on contract basis for engagement in Highway Operations Division at NHAI HQs. Initial tenure of engagement will be for a period of one year in the first instance, which may be further extended, based on the requirements of the NHAI and the satisfactory performance.

Rs. 1,50,000/- + Transport Allowance

Degree of a recognized University / Institute

Age Limit

65 years

Experience

(i) Retired officer (preferably IPS Officer not below the rank of Inspector General of Police) at the level of GP Rs.10,000/- (6th CPC)/Level 14 (7th CPC) and above.
(ii) At least 20 years experience in the relevant Center/State Administrative Department and have in depth understanding of Administrative works.

Job Description

i) Advise the Authority in Highways Operational works
ii) Resolving various issues related to Highway Operation works
iii) Advise on progress of Highway Operation targets.
iv) To formulate policies for effective Highway Operation

The terms and conditions of engagement will be in accordance with NHAI Policy Guidelines for engagement of External Professionals and Young Professionals No.1.3.1.12/2017 dated 21.06.2017. The Policy Guidelines are placed on NHAI website.

NHAI will have the right to terminate the contract at any time, without assigning any reason.
