National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (NITT) is a residential campus having more than 10,000 residents of Staff, Students and their family members. The campus has its own 24x7 hospital to cater the medical needs of the residents.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of 5 (Five) Temporary Medical Officers to our institute hospital on temporary basis.

Number of Posts: 5 (Five) Nos.

Essential Qualification (A): MBBS Degree or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a state Medical Register or Indian Medical Register.

Age Limit: Not exceeding 65 years

The salary and number of posts for the temporary Medical Officer is given below with the following terms and conditions.

Terms and Conditions:

1. The appointment is purely temporary. The job is initially for a period of 6 months and further extension is based on performance every 6 months up to a maximum of 3 years.

2. Every Medical Officer is expected to work in shift duties including holidays and should be willing to do afternoon and night shifts.

General Instructions:

2. The post is purely on temporary basis and this post does not confer any right to claim either for subsequent employment or permanent post in future.

3. Candidates should submit self-attested photo copies of required certificates and other documents, in support of their claims in the applications such as age, community (in the prescribed format), educational qualifications, experience etc., along with the application form. Applications not fulfilling the above or applications received through email will not be considered.

4. The candidates applying for the post should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions. Their admission to any stage of the selection process will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the eligibility conditions.

5. The prescribed essential qualifications / experience indicated are bare minimum and mere possession of the same will not entitle the candidate to be called for Interview.

6. The Institute reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates called for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications, level of relevance experience and other academic achievements.

7. The Institute has the right to decide the mode of screening and testing the applicant for short listing and selection.

8. The number of vacancies indicated in the notification is tentative. The Institute reserves the right not to fill any or all posts advertised and to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason.

9. Candidates shall have to produce original documents at the time of Interview.

10. The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from recognized University / Institutions.

11. Applications received through E-mail / incomplete / not on prescribed format without self-attested copies of relevant documents will not be considered.

12. Candidate shortlisted for Interview will be informed through NITT Website (www.nitt.ed u) and through e-mail as mentioned in the application form.

13. Any dispute with regard to selection process will be subject to court / tribunal having jurisdiction over Tiruchirappalli. No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.

14. Canvassing in any form/ bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the post. Interim enquiries will not be entertained. If it is found at any stage that any information given in the application is incorrect / false, the candidature/appointment is liable to be cancelled / terminated.

15. The envelope should be superscribed as Application for the post of Temporary Medical Officer.

16. The application duly filled in the prescribed form along with all supporting enclosures should reach the office of The Registrar, National Institute of Technology, Tanjore road, Tiruchirappalli 15. Tamil Nadu PIN: 620015 on or before 23.04.2018 (5.00 PM). The Institute shall not be responsible for postal delays, if any.

17. The venue of interview will be in the Senate Room, Admin Block, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli 620 015.
