JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP AT DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY

PROJECT: Search for effective corrosion inhibitors based on benzothiazole derivatives: combined experimental and theoretical approach to establish structure reactivity relationship

Funding Agency: Department of Higher Education, Science & Technology and Biotechnology, Government of West Bengal

Duration: Three years.

Qualification for JRF: (i) M. Sc. (First Class) in Chemistry or Environmental Sc. from a recognized University/Institute. NET or GATE Qualified candidates will get preference.

OR

(ii) M. Tech. (First class in Material Sc./Corrosion/Environment/Chemical/Polymer)

EMOLUMENTS: (i) Total fellowship Rs. 18,700/- per month (consolidated) for first two years as JRF and Rs. 21,000/- per month (consolidated) in the third year as SRF (after successful assessment by the review committee).

Candidate can register for pursuing Ph. D. as per rules and regulations of NIT Durgapur.

Mode of selection:

The desirable candidates will have to appear in a walk in interview preceded by a written exam in the Department of Chemistry.

Date, Time and Venue for written exam and interview: May 19, 2018, from 10.00AM in the Department of Chemistry, NIT Durgapur.

TERMS & CONDITION:

The above position is purely contractual. The selected candidate will not be entitled to claim for regular appointment/absorption in this Institute. Candidate has to devote full time to carry out the project. Other terms and condition will be as per those of NIT Durgapur.

No TA/DA will be given for attending the interview/written exam.
