ADVERTISEMENT FOR RECRUITMENT OF VARIOUS NON TEACHING POSITIONS

National Institute of Technology Silchar invites applications in prescribed format from Indian Nationals possessing consistently good academic record and requisite qualifications and experience for the following posts:

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

1 LIBRARIAN
CRITERIA : Officers from the Central / State Government or Institution of national
importance or universities / university level institution or PSU:
a) (i) Holding analogous post or
(ii) With at least 3 years service in posts in PB 4 (INR 37,400 67,000)
with GP of INR 8,700.00 or AGP of INR 9,000.00 as per Central Pay
Commission or its equivalent and having experience of innovative
Library service and commitment for computerization of library.
b) Educational qualification and experience
ESSENTIAL:
i. Masters Degree in Library Science / Information Science /
Documentation with CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale or at least 60%
marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale
and a consistently good academic record set out in these
Regulations.
ii. At least ten years experience as a Deputy Librarian in the library of
the technical University, educational institute of national
importance or any other large technical library at least 3 years
being spent on a post in PB 4 (INR 37,400 67,000) with GP of
INR 8,700.00 or equivalent post.
iii. Experience (supported with evidence) of innovative Library service
and commitment for computerization of library.

2 SENIOR MEDICAL OFFICER

CRITERIA Officers of Central / State or similar services / semi Govt. / PSU / Statutory or

:

Autonomous Organization, University / Institution of national importance: c) (i) Holding analogous post or

(ii) With at least 5 years regular service in posts in the PB 3 with GP of

INR 5,400.00 as per 6th Central Pay Commission or equivalent, d) Educational qualification and experience

ESSENTIAL:

MBBS Degree or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register

OR

Post Graduate qualification, preferably MD, in General medicine from a reputed medical education institute

EXPERIENCE:

For MBBS degree holders, experience of 5 years as Medical Officer in a hospital or dispensary

AGE : Not applicable

3 MEDICAL OFFICER

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA MBBS Degree or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to

: the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register.

DESIRABLE : Post Graduate qualification, preferably MD, in General medicine

AGE : Not exceeding 35 Years

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

    1. Job description for posts at S. No. 2 & 3 above: Eight hours rotational duty in three shifts. He / she should be able to provide emergency services as and when required. In case of medical emergency he / she should be available on call basis. He / she should provide cover for unexpected absence duty He / she should undertake whatever other task that may arise in order to contribute to departmental

  1. The Institute reserves the right to cancel the recruitment without assigning any reason thereof.

  2. The prescribed qualification and experience are minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview.

  3. No correspondence will be entertained with the candidates, who are not called for interview/selected for appointment.

  1. Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification of candidature.

  2. Legal disputes, if any, will be restricted within the jurisdiction of Silchar Court only.

  3. Candidates should send their application form along with all supporting documents duly self attested.

  4. All reserved category candidates shall be required to submit self-attested copies of the latest Caste certificate issued by competent authority at the time of interview, if called for. Similarly, PWD candidates shall be required to submit proof of physical disability certificate of permanent nature from competent medical authority at the time of interview.

  5. Incomplete/unsigned applications shall be summarily rejected and no communication in this regard shall be entertained.

  6. Candidate should fill in separate application form for each Department / Post, if applying for more than one Department / Post.

  1. Application fees of INR 1,000.00 for General/OBC candidates & INR 500.00 for SC/ST/PWD candidates be paid directly to State Bank of India A/C No. 10521277057, IFSC Code SBIN0007061 of Director, NIT Silchar.

  2. The application along with the relevant documents (self attested) & transaction slip for the fees deposited should be sent to the following address The Registrar, National Institute of Technology Silchar, Silchar, Assam 788 010.

  3. Persons employed in Government and Semi-Government organizations should submit the application through proper channel with advance copy directly to The Registrar, National Institute of Technology Silchar, Silchar, Assam 788 010. Those who fail to submit through proper channel should produce NOC at the time of interview.

  4. Last date of receipt of application is 02.03.2018 up to 1700 hours. Applications received after the due date will not be considered & NIT Silchar will not be responsible for any postal delay.
