ADVERTISEMENT FOR RECRUITMENT OF VARIOUS NON TEACHING POSITIONS

National Institute of Technology Silchar invites applications in prescribed format from Indian Nationals possessing consistently good academic record and requisite qualifications and experience for the following posts:

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

1. EXECUTIVE ENGINEER (CIVIL)

Officers of the Central PWD / State Govt. s or similar services / semi Govt. / PSU / Statutory or

Autonomous Organization, University / lnstitution of national importance etc.

a) i. Holding analogous post or

ii. With at least 4 years regular service as Assistant Executive Engineer OR Assistant Engineer in PB-2 with GP of INR 4600/-with regular service of 7 years in the grade and have successfully completed 2 week course on Contract law, E-Governance, Building Byelaws and Building Electrification as per 6th Central pay Commission or equivalent

b) Educational qualification and experience

Essential:

i. First class Bachelor's Degree in Engineering ( Civil) or its equivalent Grade in the CGPA / UGC point scale with good academic record from a recognized University / lnstitute.

ii. 4 Years experience in relevant field as !ssistant Executive Engineer (in PB-3 andGP of INR 5400/-) from CPWD / State PWD or similar organized services / Semi Govt. / PSU / Statutory or Autonomous organization / Universities / reputed institute or organizations under Central / State Govt.

Desirable:

i. Knowledge of Computer-aided Design (CAD) and latest Management Technology / other relevant software

ii. Proven track record of handling projects / works in reputed organization of relevant magnitude and qualities.

iii. Experience of working with high tension lines, electrical maintenance planning and execution of electrical works or civil engineering, Designing and estimation, construction management etc. , as relevant to the profession.

2. ASSISTANT REGISTRAR (ACCOUNTS)

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA : Master's degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent Grade in the CGPA / UGC point scale with good academic record from a recognized University / Institute.

DESIRABLE : Qualification in area of M. Com / MBA (Finance) Experience in handling computerized administration / legal / financial / establishment matters A Chartered or Cost Accountant degree or diploma for the post of Assistant Registrar (Finance and Accounts) AGE : Not exceeding 35 years

GENERAL INFORMATION

  1. All Qualification and Experience will be recognized as on 22.06.2018.
  2. The Institute reserves the right to cancel the recruitment without assigning any reason thereof.

  3. The prescribed qualification and experience are minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview.

  4. No correspondence will be entertained with the candidates, who are not called for interview/selected for appointment.

  5. Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification of candidature.

  6. Legal disputes, if any, will be restricted within the jurisdiction of Silchar Court only.

  7. Candidates should send their application form along with all supporting documents duly self attested.

  8. All reserved category candidates shall be required to submit self-attested copies of the latest Caste certificate issued by competent authority at the time of interview, if called for. Similarly, PWD candidates shall be required to submit proof of physical disability certificate of permanent nature from competent medical authority at the time of interview.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

1. Application fees of INR 1,000.00 for General/OBC candidates & INR 500.00 for SC/ST/PWD candidates be paid directly to State Bank of India A/C No. 10521277057, IFSC Code SBIN0007061 of Director, NIT Silchar.

2. The application along with the relevant documents (self attested) & transaction slip for the fees deposited should be sent to the following address The Registrar, National Institute of Technology Silchar, Silchar, Assam 788 010.

  1. Persons employed in Government and Semi-Government organizations should submit the application through proper channel with advance copy directly to The Registrar, National Institute of Technology Silchar, Silchar, Assam 788 010. Those who fail to submit through proper channel should produce NOC at the time of interview.

  2. Last date of receipt of application is 22.06.2018 up to 1700 hours. Applications received after the due date will not be considered & NIT Silchar will not be responsible for any postal delay.
