Advertisement for Project Assistant under DST-SERB Project

Applications are invited from highly motivated and dynamic eligible candidates project assistant to work in a Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, funded sponsored research project entitled Graphenesilicon nanowire based Schottky junction solar cells for enhanced light harvesting.

Principal investigator: Dr. Vivek Kumar, Assistant Professor, Physics Department.

Details of qualifications, Emoluments and duration are given below:

Name of the position	Project Assistant, One (01)
Eligibility	First class M.Sc./M.Sc.(Tech) or M.Tech. (Physics/ Engineering Physics/ Applied Physics/ Material science) or Equivalent degree in physics Candidates who are in final year of Qualifying Degree with required eligibility can also apply. However, such candidates have to submit their provisional certificate on or before joining.
Age limit	Must not be more than 28 years as on closing date of application (relaxation as per the norms/ orders of GOI).
Duration	Till end of project
Fellowship	@ Rs. 20,000/- per month
Other	The selected candidate is eligible to register for PhD degree at NIT, Meghalaya as per the eligibility criteria.

General terms and conditions:

1. The position is temporary and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance, till the end of the project. However, the initial engagement shall be for a period of one year on consolidated salary.

2. Filled in application form (soft copy in pdf format) must be sent to vivekkumar@nitm.ac.in by email no later than March 09, 2017. Subject of the email should contain Application for Project Assistant in Physics.

3. Original documents of age proof/certificates/degrees/mark-sheets and other testimonials must be presented at the time of interview. A set of photocopy of all the testimonials must be submitted at the time of interview.

4. Candidate must bring with him/her the signed hard copy of the duly filled application form.

5. Mere possession of minimum qualification does not guarantee invitation to the interview. Candidates will be short listed based on merit and need of the project. Only shortlisted candidates will be communicated to appear in the interview and no other communication in this regard will be entertained.

6. The authority reserves the right of accepting/rejecting any or all applications without assigning any reason thereof.

7. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
