Applications from the eligible candidates are invited for the following posts on the prescribed form (along with detailed qualifications, experience required and other relevant information) obtainable from the respective offices mentioned below against each post on any working day from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. in cash at the counter by 28.7.2017 for these posts. The application forms can also be obtained by post from these concerned offices by sending requisite cost of the application form in the shape of bank draft in favour of the Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana payable at Ludhiana along with self addressed envelope (28x12 cms) bearing postage stamps of Rs.40/- by 7.7.2017. The duly completed application forms for the posts with prescribed fee (as mentioned below against each post) in the shape of Bank Draft payable at Ludhiana in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana should reach in the concerned offices by 28.7.2017.

Pay scales and other service conditions for the above posts wherever applicable will be governed as per Punjab Governments notification No.7/204/2012-4FP1/60 dated 15.1.2015 and circular No.7/204/2012-4FP1/66 dated 15.1.2015 and any other instructions issued by Punjab Government from time to time in this regard.
Important
1. Applications, which are incomplete/ not on the prescribed form/ received after the last date/ received without prescribed application fee shall not be considered. The University shall not be responsible for any postal delay or loss in transit.
2. In service candidates should apply through proper channel.
3. Post at Sr. No.1 to 5 are tenurial posts for a term of four years
4. Number of posts at Sr. No. to 8 to 13 and 15 can be increased or decreased.
5. Appointment for posts at Sr. No.6 to 13 shall be co-terminus with the scheme in which these are provided.
6. For posts at Sr.No. 8 to 13 only short-listed candidates will be called for interview.
7. For posts at Sr.No.1 to 13, the minimum age of entry is 18 years and retirement age is 60 years.
8. For posts at Sr. No. 14 and 15 age not less than 18 years and not more than 37 years as on 1.1.2017. The upper age limit will be relaxed upto 45 years in the case of persons already in employment of the Punjab Government/other state government or the Government of India.
9. For posts at Sr. No. 5 (advertised vide advt. No.02/2017) and Sr.No. 15 (advertised vide advt. No. 01/2017) who have already applied for these posts need not apply again.
10. The candidate must fulfill the requisite qualifications by the last date of receipt of applications i.e. 28.7.2017.
11. For Post at Sr.No. 6 to 13: 3% of the posts are reserved for physically handicapped persons belonging to Punjab state with 40% or more disability and the breakup of this reservation is as under:-
i) Blindness of low vision : 1%
ii) Hearing Impairment : 1%
iii) Locomotor disability or cerebral palsy (Ortho impaired) : 1%
Attested copies of the Certificates regarding proof of handicapped and extent thereof, issued by Civil Surgeon of the district or place of which applicant is a permanent resident should be attached. It would also be certified in the medical certificate that the applicant is otherwise fit for the post he/she is applying for. However, if eligible persons are not found available in response to this advertisement, the posts will be filled out of other category/ categories and the points meant for persons with disabilities shall be carried forward for being filled from future vacancies.

13. All the candidates should attach photo copies of their qualifications(Detail Marks Cards), experience and other relevant documents failing which no mark(s) (wherever applicable) will be awarded to them and they can also be declared ineligible for the post in absence of these documents.
14. (i) Graduate.
(ii) Must have passed S.A.S. Examination held by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India/State Finance Department or Higher Standard Departmental Examination of the PAU.
iii) Must have 9 years experience in a supervisory capacity in financial management/administration out of which he/she must have 4 years experience of Accounts Officer/Deputy Registrar or equivalent in Govt./Public Sector preferably in a University.
iv) Matric level certificate of Punjabi language. (If not, the candidate is required to pass the same within one year of appointment).
OR
(B)
i) Graduate with second division and Chartered Accountant with 50% marks having 5 years experience in the field of Financial Management in Govt./Public/Private sector. In case of Private Sector, the experience should be in Private Limited company having a minimum annual turnover of Rs.50.00 crore.
ii) Matric level certificate of Punjabi language. (If not, the candidate is required to pass the same within one year of appointment).
3. Additional Director of Extension Education (for a term of four years) in the pay scale of Rs.37400- 67000+AGP Rs.10,000/-+Rs.800/- special allowance (for a term of four years)
Essential:
i) B.Sc/B.Sc (Agri.)/ B.Sc(Home Science)/B.Tech./B.V.Sc/B.V.Sc and A.H. at least with second division.
ii) Ph.D. in any discipline of Agriculture with good academic record.
iii) Twelve years experience in research/teaching/extension in Agriculture in College/Institution out of which at least 5 years must be as Professor/equivalent. Administrative experience, leadership, ability and capacity to organize and supervise the work of others.
iv) Substantial contributions to extension education/research and scholarship as evidenced by the innovations in extension education/teaching/quality of papers published in professional journals of repute, adoption of results of research.
v) Matric level certificate of Punjabi language. (If not, the candidate is required to pass the same within one year of appointment).
4. Additional Director of Research (Natural Resources & Plant Health Management) in the pay scale of Rs.37400- 67000+AGP Rs.10,000/-+Rs.800/- special allowance (for a term of four years)
Essential:
i) B.Sc.(Agri.)/B.Sc.(Forestry)/B.Tech.(Agril. Engg)/B.Sc.
ii) Ph.D in Agronomy/Soil Science/Entomology/Plant Pathology/ Nematology/ Agrometeorology/Forestry and Natural Resources/Agril. Economics/Soil and Water Engineering
OR
Ph.D. in Botany/Biochemistry/Microbiology/Zoology with published work on Natural Resources and/or Plant Health Management.
iii) Second division at Bachelors level and 65% marks or OCPA or 6.50 out of 10.00 at Masters level
iv) Twelve years experience in research/teaching/extension in a relevant discipline in a college/Institution out of which, at least five years must be as Professor/equivalent. Administrative experience, leadership, ability and capacity to organize and supervise the work of others.
v) Matric level certificate of Punjabi language of Punjab School Education Board or any other equivalent. (If not, the candidate is required to pass the same within one year of appointment).

Job responsibilities:
i) To assist the Director of Research in planning, monitoring and coordinating scientific research on various aspects relating to Natural Resource and Plant Health Management and IPR across the colleges in PAU Campus and outstations.
ii) To motivate faculty to write new projects, to scrutinize the submitted research projects and to review the synopses of PG students relating to Natural Resource and Plant Health Management. iiiii) To compile information for the research reports on Natural Resource and Plant Health Management.
iv) To perform such other duties as entrusted by the Director of Research from time to time.5. Additional Director of Research (Crop Improvement) in the pay scale of Rs.37400- 67000+AGP Rs.10,000/-+Rs.800/- special allowance (for a term of four years)

ii) Ph.D. in Soil Science with specialization in Soil Fertility/Chemistry.
iii) At least second division at Bachelors level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 at Masters level
iv) Eight years experience in teaching/research/extension education in the relevant area at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent. (The period spent in obtaining Ph.D. degree will not be counted as research/teaching/extension experience).
v) Substantial contributions to research and scholarship as evidenced by the quality of papers published. The candidate has minimum 7 full length publications having cumulative NAAS rating not less than 20.0 on the last date of submission of application.
OR
The candidate has minimum 10 publications in the Journals rated and /or not rated by NAAS on the last date of submission of application. The applications will be evaluated by the committee.
vi) Matric level certificate of Punjabi language from Punjab School Education Board or any other recognized Board (as first or second language). (If not, the candidate is required to pass the same within one year of appointment).

7. Editor Research in the pay scale of Rs.37400-67000+AGP 9000/-
i) Bachelors degree in any discipline of Agriculture and Allied science subjects.
ii) Doctorates degree in any discipline of Agriculture and Allied science subjects.
iii) At least second division at Bachelors level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 at Masters level.
iv) Eight years experience in teaching/research/extension education in relevant area at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent. (The period spent in obtaining Ph.D. degree will not be counted as research/teaching/extension experience).
v) Substantial contributions to research and scholarship as evidenced by the quality of papers published. The candidate has minimum 7 full length publications having cumulative NAAS rating not less than 20.0 on the last date of submission of application.
OR

iv) Must have qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) in the relevant discipline conducted by ASRB/UGC/CSIR with one publication in NAAS (National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, New Delhi) rated refereed journal and equivalent.
v) Matric level certificate of Punjabi language from Punjab School Education Board or any other recognized board (as first or second language). If not, the candidate is required to pass the same within one year of appointment.

i) B.Sc. (Agri.)*/B.Sc. (Hort.)*/B.Sc (Forestry)*/B.Sc.**.
ii) Masters degree in Agronomy.
iii) Atleast Second division at Bachelor level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 at Masers level.
iv) Must have qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) in the relevant discipline conducted by ASRB/UGC/CSIR with one publication in NAAS (National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, New Delhi) rated refereed journal and equivalent.
v) Must have passed Matric level certificate of Punjabi language from Punjab School Education Board or any other recognized board (as first or second language).
Note 1: A candidate who does not possess Masters degree in the relevant subject but possesses Ph.D. degree in the subject required at Masters level, shall be eligible for the post.
Note 2:The candidate holding Doctorate degree in the relevant subject required at Masters level shall be exempted from passing NET provided, it has been done with course work as prescribed by the UGC regulations 2009 and
- The candidate has minimum 2 full length publications having NAAS rating not less than 4.0 on the last date of submission of application,
OR
-The candidate has full length paper(s) having cumulative NAAS rating not less than 8.0 on the last date of submission of applications.
OR
- The candidate has minimum 4 publications in the journals rated and/or not rated by NAAS on the last date of submission of applications. The publications will be evaluated by the committee.
Job Responsibilities:
1. To undertake research/teaching/extension activities.
2. To take initiative for developing research projects and to obtain funding.
3. Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.
* The candidates should have cleared four years degree programme of B.Sc.(Agri.)/B.Sc.(Hort.)/B.Sc(Forestry).
** The candidates who have completed B.Sc. in three years should have cleared either deficiency courses of relevant subjects of B.Sc. (Agri.) during their M.Sc. or should have completed one year duration Honors/ bridged/special programme.
14. Welfare officer (Boys) in the pay scale of Rs.10300-34800+5000/- GP.
i) Graduate with atleast second division.
ii) Postgraduate with atleast 60% marks.
iii)Participation in Inter-varsity/State/National/International competitions in cultural/sports activities.
iv) Must have three years experience of Administering/Organizing Cultural/ Sports/Youth Welfare and Development activities in any University/Affiliated College.
v) Knowledge of Punjabi upto Matric level.
Age : Not less than 18 years and more than 37 years as on 1.1.2017. Age relaxation will be applicable as per Punjab Govt. rules.
15. Computer Operator in the scale of Rs.10300-34800+Rs.3200 GP
i) Graduate in Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Applications (minimum 60%) or equivalent.
Or
Masters in Information Technology/Computer Applications (minimum 60%) or equivalent .
ii) Must have passed matriculation examination with Punjabi Language.
Age:Not less than 18 years and more than 37 years as on 1.1.2017. Age relaxation and reservation will be applicable as per Punjab Govt. rules.
