A unique opportunity for research careers in Science & Technology CSIR- Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), Jammu, a premier institute under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), involved in multidisciplinary R&D programmes of both basic and applied nature across scientific disciplines for economic, environmental and societal benefits for the people of India with primary focus on drug discovery from natural products (medicinal plants and microbial species), invites applications for the Scientific positions. The key research areas of interest at CSIR-IIIM are (i) Natural Products/Medicinal/Analytical/Bio-organic Chemistry, (ii) Plant Sciences (Plant Biotechnology/ Biodiversity/Genetic Resources/Taxonomy/Ethno-biology), (iii) Fermentation Technology, (iv) Clinical Microbiology, (v) Biological/ Pharmacological Sciences, (vi) Quality Control/Quality Assurance and (vii) cGMP/Formulation Development/Regulatory Affairs. Applications are invited from enthusiastic, young Indian technical personals having excellent academic record and proven scientific achievements along with requisite experience and a high degree of motivation and desire to take up research as a career in the field of collaborative drug discovery projects, to fill up the vacancy of following posts of scientists as per the details given below. Proven track record in drug discovery with patents, publications and sample data management.	Selected candidate is required to work as team member in drug discovery projects.
T-02	Sr. Technical Officer (2) No of Posts: One (UR) Maximum age: 40 years	Pay Band 3 (Rs.15600-39100) Grade Pay Rs. 6600/-	BE/B.Tech in Biotechnology/B. Pharma with 55% marks and 5 years experience in the relevant field.	Desirable: M.Pharma/Ph.D. in biological sciences with Research experience in drug Discovery/ formulation.	To provide interdisciplinary technical assistance to scientists in drug discovery program of the institute. Selected candidate will be required to work as team member in pharmacology
T-03	Sr. Technical Officer(1) No of Posts: One (Reserved for SC) Maximum age: 40 Yrs. (Including 5 years years relaxation for SC)	Pay Band 3 (Rs.15600-39100) Grade Pay Rs.5400/-	B.V.Sc. & AH with 55% marks with registration with VCI (for animal house) or state Veterinary council	MVSc in Animal genetics and breading/ Pathology/pharmacology with Experience in management of GLP Standard Animal house. T-04	Technical Officer No of Posts: One (Reserved for OBC) Maximum age: 33 years (Including 3 years years relaxation for OBC)	Pay Band 2 (Rs.9300-34800) Grade Pay Rs.4600/-	BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with 55% marks	Desirable: BE/B.Tech from prestigious Institute with experience in the pilot plant or industrial setup.	Selected candidate is expected to work in team for day to day maintenance/preventive maintenance/upkeeping of the pilot plant and other R&D infrastructure including pilot plants. Fermentation facility and cGMP.
T-05	Technical Officer No of Posts: One (UR) Maximum age: 30 years	Pay Band 2 (Rs.9300-34800) Grade Pay Rs.4600/-/-	MBA with 55% marks after 1st Class BSc	The candidate should have excellent communication skills with awareness about issues related to Project management/ technology transfer and IPR etc	To develop and implement strategies for Project Management / technology marketing /IP licensing etc.

Application must be accompanied by one self attested photograph, synopsis sheet duly filled in the prescribed format, attested copies of certificates and testimonials.

The upper age limit will be reckoned as on 22.07.2016. The upper age-limit is relaxable in case of SCs/STs/OBCs/PH candidates as per Govt. of India rules as under:-.

1. The upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years for SCs/STs and 03 years for OBCs as per Government orders in force only in those cases where the posts are reserved for respective categories. The upper age is also relaxable in case of women (widow/judicially separated with proof) as per GOI/CSIR instructions/ guidelines.

2. SCs/STs/OBCs candidates are required to produce attested copy of caste/tribe certificate in the prescribed format along with the Application Form.

3. Relaxation in the upper age limit for Physically Handicapped will be 5 years, over and above the relaxation admissible for SCs/STs/OBCs, as the case may be for respective reserved posts, on furnishing of the Disability Certificate (suffering from not less than 40 percent of relevant disability) issued by the competent authority.

4. Candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBCs) must submit the attested photocopy of the current years certificate in the Central Govt. prescribed form issued by the specified competent authority (SDO/District Magistrate/ Dy. Commissioner) along with the Application Form. The certificate issued by Gazetted Officers should be countersigned by the District Magistrate or Dy. Commissioner. .

5. Relaxation in upper age limit of 5 years is also applicable for persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of J& K during the period of 1.1.1980 to 31.12.1989 subject to production of domicile certificate [certificate must be attached with the application] from the District Magistrate in whose jurisdiction he/she had ordinarily resided OR from any other authority designated for this by the Govt. of J & K State. .

6. The upper age-limit is also relaxable by 5 years in case of Council/Government/Autonomous Bodies/Public Sectors employees as per CSIR Rules.

7. Relaxation in upper age limit & qualification in case of exceptionally meritorious candidates, (both departmental and outsiders) may be considered with the prior approval of competent authority.

8. Applications from employees of Government/Semi-Govt. Departments, Public Sector Undertakings and Autonomous Bodies will be considered only if routed through proper channel.

9. Applications received after the closing date i.e. 22.07.2016 will not be entertained. Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.

10. Mere fulfillment of essential educational qualifications and/or experience does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. The Institute will decide its own criteria to short-list the applications.

11. Application should be accompanied by a Demand Draft of Rs.100.00 (Rupees One hundred only) drawn in favor of Director, Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu, payable at Jammu (Applicant should write his name with parentage at the back of the DD). SCs/STs/PH /Women Candidates and regular employees of CSIR are exempted from payment of application fee.

12. The candidates who want to apply for more than one post may submit separate application form for the same along with all requisite documents and draft.

Essential qualification/Experience shall be reckoned on or before the closing date i.e 22.07.2016.

13. Period of experience in a discipline/area of work shall be counted from the date of acquiring of minimum prescribed educational qualification.

14. The positions carry usual allowances as admissible to Central Govt. Employees in the same pay band /Grade Pay posted at Jammu.

Duly completed application should be sent by Registered /Speed Post only in a sealed cover super-scribing Application for the Post Code No.____ to The Director, CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative, Medicine, Canal Road, Jammu PIN 180 001, so as to reach on or before the closing date 22.07.2016 through Registered/Speed post.

The decision of Director, IIIM in all matters relating to selection shall be final and binding on the candidates. Interim enquiries will not be entertained.

Canvassing in any form or bringing any influence, political or otherwise, will be treated as a disqualification.
