Senior Research Fellow (SRF) Position under DST-SERB Project (File No:ECR/2015/000554)

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) position under DST SERB project entitled "Characterization of Cellular and Molecular Mechanisms involved in Fish Lectins and its Potential Role in Innate Immune Defense and Therapeutics" to the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies, Panangad, Kochi, Kerala, India.

Name of the position available : Senior Research Fellow (One)

Duration of the Project : Two Years

Fellowship : Rs.25,000 /- p.m. + 20% HRA for PhD degree holders (or) Post graduate degree in Basic Science with NET and two years of research experience (or) Post graduate degree in professional course. PhD degree holders are exempted from NET.

Required Qualification :Masters degree in Fisheries or allied sciences / Life sciences / Microbiology / Biotechnology/ Biochemistry.

Desirable Qualification : Candidates should have practical research experience (two years after Masters) and working experience in analytics and molecular cell biology techniques. Fresh PhD completed candidates may apply.

Age Limit : Candidates should have the upper age limit of 32 years as on the last date of application. Relaxation as per Government rules.

General Terms and Conditions

Candidates must be willing to carryout research work in assigned areas and meet project deadlines. Candidates must be willing to travel widely. The term of service is for two years. The post is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the project.
