Advertisement for the temporary post of Research Associate (RA) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

Applications are invited for the purely temporary post of Research Associate (RA) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF)-Unani in the AYUSH sponsored research project entitled "Screening of pro-apoptotic potential of medicinal plant extract on Leishmania donavani infected and uninfected human macrophage (Ref No. Z.28015/252/2015-HPC(EMR)-AYUSH-C) " (PI: Dr. Abdur Rub) in Infection and immunity Lab (Lab No 414), Department of Biotechnology, Jamia Millia Islamia New Delhi-11025.

1. Research Associate (01)

Qualification: PhD degree in any area of Life Sciences*

Desirable: Candidate should have previous experience of animal cell culture, Real Time PCR, western blotting, extraction, crystallization of active compounds from the plant parts and basic knowledge of Bioinformatic tools.

Stipend: 36,000 + 30% HRA p.m.

Duration: Approximately Three years

*thesis submitted candidates whose viva is planned soon may also apply

2. Senior Research Fellow-Unani (01)

Qualification:

Post Graduate Degree (M.D) in Unani System from a recognized statutory Board/University included in the 2nd Schedule of the CCIM Act 1970 with previous exposure of extraction and purification of compounds from plant parts

OR

(i) M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology/Biochemistry

(ii) Minimum two years of research experience

Duration: Around Three years.

Stipend: 28,000 + 30 % HRA p.m.
