1. AMAAS Project : Exploring the diversity of extreme halophiles by functional and comparative genomics for isolating novel genes and alleles for affording salinity tolerance to crop plants

Name of the Position: Research Associate One

Pay: MSc Degree: 38000 + HRA

PhD Degree: 40000 + HRA

Duration: upto 31.03.2017 (likely to be extended)

Educational qualifications (minimum):

1. PhD in Microbiology/Agril. Microbiology/Biochemistry/Agricultural Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology and Biotechnology

2. MSc in Microbiology/Agril. Microbiology/Biochemistry/ Agril. Biochemistry /Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology and Biotechnology with NET qualification and having 02 years of research experience

3. MSc in Microbiology/Agril. Microbiology/Biochemistry/ Agril. Biochemistry /Biotechnology/ Agril. Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology and Biotechnology with 4 years/5 years of Bachelors degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average and at least 02 years of research experience as evidenced from fellowship/Associateship/training/other engagements

2. Extramural Project: Alleviation of moisture-deficit stress in groundnut, soybean, chickpea, and pigeon pea by application of endophytic bacteria

Pay: 25000 + HRA for first two years; 28000 + HRA for subsequent years

Educational qualifications (minimum):

I. MSc in Microbiology/Agril. Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology & Biotechnology/Life Sciences/ Plant Pathology with 04 years/05 years of Bachelor degree.

II. MSc in Microbiology/Agril. Microbiology /Biochemistry/ Agril. Biochemistry / Biotechnology/Life Sciences/Plant Pathology with 03 years Bachelor degree and 02 years of Masters degree should have NET qualification.

III. PhD degree holders in above mentioned subjects are also eligible for SRFs.

IV. Graduates with three years Bachelors degree who has acquired 03 years of Masters degree like MSc (Ag) in Microbiology/Agril. Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Agril. Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology & Biotechnology/Life Sciences/ Plant Pathology

V. Integrated degree 5 years (BTech + MTech) in any of the above subjects

Pay: 8000 (fixed)

Minimum qualifications: 12th Pass (Science)

General Terms and conditions:

1. Age limit:

RA: Maximum 40 years (Relaxation of five years for SC/ST & Women and three years for OBC as per GOI norms)

SRF: Maximum age is 35 years (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC or as per GOI norms)

Skilled helper: 30 years (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC or as per GOI norms)

2. Other conditions: The posts are purely temporary, co-terminus with project and will be filled on contractual basis up to March 2017 or on termination of project. The candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project. The candidates will have to compulsorily bring the filled in application form (as per the format annexed), all the original certificates from matriculation onwards, date of birth certificate, NET/equivalent certificate, degree certificate either original or provisional and one set of the self-attested photocopies of all the required certificates from matriculation onwards and an attested copy of recent passport size photograph pasted onto the application form. Proof of experience need to be submitted. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Only the candidates meeting essential qualifications would be interviewed. Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination of such candidates.
