Applications in the prescribed proforma are invited from the eligible candidates, as per the UGC regulations amended from time to time, for filling up the (unreserved) posts of Principal/Professor (Subject to final approval) (Department of Physical Education & Sports Sciences, ANU PG Centre, Ongole Campus) and Professors in Acharya Nagarjuna University Campus, Guntur, A.P., India, so as to reach the undersigned in person or by post by 5.00 p.m. on or before 01.02.2018 along with a crossed SBI Demand Draft for Rs.2000/- payable in favour of the Registrar, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Nagarjuna Nagar-522510, Guntur District, A.P., IFSC Code : SBIN0004793 NU Campus. QUALIFICATIONS

(As for the UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and measures for the maintenance of standards in Higher Education, 2010 along with amendments as on the date)

Required qualifications:

I. Professors (Commerce & Business Management, Economics, Law (P.G. Dept. Legal Studies) and Political Science) (UGC Scale of Pay of Rs.37400-67000 + AGP 10000):

A.

(i) An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualifications in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.
(ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience (excluding the period of research for obtaining Ph.D.) in University/College, and/or experience in research at the University/National level institutions/industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.
(iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology - mediated teaching learning process.
(iv) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System /PBAS), set out. in this Regulation in Appendix III.

B. An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, to be substantiated by his credentials.

II. PRINCIPAL/PROFESSOR (Subject to final approval) for Physical Education (UGC Scale of Pay of Rs.37400-67000 + AGP 10000):

A.

(i) A Masters degree in Physical Education with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
(ii) Ph.D. in Physical Education or equivalent published work in Physical Education, with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers. Including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.
(iii) Ten Years teaching experience (excluding the period of research for obtaining Ph.D.) out of which five years experience shall be in a college of Physical Education.
(iv) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology - mediated teaching learning process.
(v) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System /PBAS), set out as per the UGC Regulations in Appendix III.

PERCENTAGE EQUIVALENCE OF GRADE POINTS FOR A SEVEN POINTS SCALE:

It is hereby clarified that where the University/College/Institution declare results in Grade Points which is on a scale of seven, the following mechanism shall be referred to ascertain equivalent marks in percentage:

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS & ESSENTIAL INFORMATION:

1. The University reserves the right to:

(a) Withdraw an advertised post(s) at any time without giving any reason.

(b) Not to fill up any of the advertised positions.

2. Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess atleast the minimum essential qualifications/experience laid down for the post.
3. Qualifications and other conditions shall be applicable as stipulated by the MHRD/UGC regulations also and as amended from time to time.
4. The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and the mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview. Where the number of applications received in response to an advertisement is large and if found not convenient or possible to interview all the candidates, the University, at its discretion, may restrict the number of candidates to a reasonable limit, which may vary from post to post, on the basis of qualifications, experience, publications, etc., The University may constitute an expert committee, if necessary to scrutinize the applications or process administratively depending upon the number of applications.
5. The process of selection may be by a presentation/seminar/interview or a combination thereof.
6. Canvassing in any form shall lead to cancellation of candidature.
7. Candidates applying for the post of Principal/Professor is required to send their application in the prescribed application form, including the Academic Performance Indicators (API) based on Performance Based Appraisal System along with supporting documents duly signed and filled in all respect, failing which their candidature shall be outrightly rejected as the same is mandatory as per UGC Regulations, 2010 and amended from time to time.
8. Those already in Govt/University service should send their applications through proper channel and produce NOC at the time of interview.
9. In case of any inadvertent mistake/errors in the process of selection, which may be detected at any stage even after issue of the appointment letter, the University reserves the right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication made to the candidate.
10. After joining the service of the University, the candidate will have to abide by the Rules, Regulations and Ordinances of the University applicable from time to time. He / she may be assigned any duty within the University or outside depending upon the exigency of the work.
11. The University can verify the antecedents or documents submitted by the candidate at any time during tenure of service. In case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the candidates are fake or the candidate has a clandestine antecedents / background for which he/her has been convicted by any court and has suppressed the said information, then his/her services shall be terminated forthwith.

Instructions to Candidates applying from abroad:

Candidates applying from abroad may note that the Registration fee for each application is US $50. A Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Registrar, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, A.P., India payable at State Bank of India, Guntur Main Branch, A.P., India for US $50 should be attached to the filled in application along with all necessary documents. The copy of the filled in application should be sent by email (for the applicants from abroad) to the Registrar, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur 522 510, Andhra Pradesh, India to the following ID: registraranu@yahoo.co.in . However, hard copy of the application has to be sent to the Registrar, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Nagarjuna Nagar-522510, Guntur, A.P., India by post.

If found qualified to be called for interview, candidates from abroad will be informed at short notice by email only. They must attend the interview in person at the designated place and date in India by their own cost.
