ADVERTISEMENT FOR RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

The Principal, N. M. College of Agriculture, Navsari Agriculture University, Navsari invites application from suitable candidates to work on post of Research Associate (one post) in the plan project Strengthening Research in Biological Control of Crop Pests (B.H. 12947) running at Biocontrol Laboratory, Department of Entomology, N. M. College of Agriculture, Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari-396 450 (Gujarat) India.

1. Ph.D. in Agricultural Entomology

or

Master degree in Agricultural Entomology with 4/5 years bachelors degree having 1st division or 60 % marks or equivalent OGPA with at least 2 years of research experience of fellowship/Associatship/Trainings/other engagements

or

Candidates having Masters degree in basic sciences (Agricultural Entomology) with 3 years bachelors degree along with 2 years Masters degree should have NET qualification and 2 years research experience

2. Age limit: 35 years for men and 40 years for women

Rs. 40000/- PM + 10% HRA for Ph.D. degree holder &

Rs. 38000/- PM + 10% HRA for M.Sc. degree holder

1. Job profile: The nature of job includes survey work hence the selected candidate has to travel in South Gujarat area; therefore driving license of a two wheeler is required (Attach driving license photocopy).

2. Preference: Knowledge of rearing of insects and their bio-agents will be additional advantage (Attach necessary certificate). Knowledge of computer is must (Attach certificate). Candidates having hand on experience of statistical data analysis.

3. Nature of fellowship: Full time basis.

4. Appointment period: The appointment shall be of purely time-bound and not exceeding the project duration. Appointment would be discontinued owing to administrative reasons or misconduct or failure to perform the duties assigned at any point of time during project period without prior notice.

5. At the end of the contract period, the appointee has no right to claim any employment or engagement in the NAU.

Note:

The candidate(s) shall have to attend the interview at his/her own cost.
