Nalanda University, Rajgir is an Institution of National Importance, established by an Act of the Indian Parliament (i.e. The Nalanda University Act 2010) and supported by the East Asia Summit participating countries. The Nalanda University Library is aiming to become an apex resource centre with print and innovative digital services. The library stands committed to supporting intellectual inquiry, research and the lifelong learning needs of the university community.
Nalanda University invites applications from eligible candidate for Library Trainees purely on a temporary basis for a period of one year and may be extended on the same terms and conditions for a further term, depending upon need and performance. The details regarding position is as under:
Number of Position: (03) Three
Remuneration: Monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000/-
Essential Qualification & Experience: Post-graduate in Library & Information Science (M. Lib & Sc.) with minimum of 55% marks. Candidate shall have basic knowledge of computer and preferably working knowledge of any library software and latest ICT.
Selection of candidate will be based on personal interview. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview. The selected candidates will have to work in different shifts and weekends on rotation basis. Certificate of experience will be issued to those who complete at least three months of training.

Candidates appearing for interview are requested to bring with them the certificates in support of date of birth, qualifications and experience if any (one original and one photocopy).
