Subject: Engagement of a Project Fellow under SERB-DST project, Department of Botany, Nagaland University, Lumami, Nagaland. Applications are invited from the highly motivated and bright candidates for the engagement as Project Fellow in the following research project funded by SERB-DST, Government of India. Title of the research project: Collection, Identification, Conservation, Morpho-Cyto-Taxonomy and Genomic In Situ Hybridization of underutilized and wild relatives of Sechium edule (Jacq.) Sw. Project number: EEQ/2016/000537 Name and number of the position available: Project Fellow; one (01) Essential qualifications: M.Sc. Botany/M.Sc. Molecular Biology/M.Sc. Biotechnology. The candidates with experience on molecular techniques, Fluorescent Microscopy, PCR, Gel electrophoresis and Molecular Cytogenetics would be preferred. Age limit: must not be over 28 years as on May 31, 2017; relaxable in case of SC/ST/PH/OBC candidates as per Government of India rules and regulations. Salary: 12,000 per month+ HRA (if applicable) for First and Second year and 14,000 per month+ HRA (if applicable) for Third year. Project duration: 3 years General terms and conditions: The position is temporary and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of three years. The position is co-terminus with the project duration. Completely filled, signed application form must be submitted as per the format provided in University website.
