JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW

A walk-in interview will be conducted on October 10, 2017 at Dept of Biotechnology, Gauhati University at 11:00 AM for a post of Junior Research Fellow in DST-SERB funded research project.

Project Title: Studies on betalain biosynthetic enzymes for in vitro pigment production and

nanoencapsulation of betalains for nutraceutical applications

Duration of the project: 3 years

Qualifications (any one of the following):

M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Life Sciences (preferred specialisation in protein chemistry/proteomics) with NET/GATE in Life Sciences (conducted by CSIR, New Delhi)/Biotechnology, OR

B.Tech Biotechnology or B.Tech. in any life science related degree with NET/GATE,

OR

B.Sc. Agricultural Biotechnology (Four year programme) with NET/GATE,

OR

M.Sc. Agricultural Biotechnology/M.Tech Biotechnology

Age : Below 28 years on October 10, 2017.

Salary: 1) Rs. 25000/ p.m. + 20% HRA for NET/GATE qualified candidates having any of the above mentioned degrees

2) Rs. 20,000/- p.m. (consolidated) for without NET/GATE candidates having any of the above mentioned degrees

Applicants with M. Sc./B.Tech/B.Sc. Agri degree in the above mentioned subjects with the preferred specialization in protein chemistry/proteomics from a recognised university with minimum of 60% marks (or equivalent grade points) can walk-in on October 10, 2017 at Dept of Biotechnology, Gauhati University at 11:00 AM for the interview.

Bring academic qualification certificates, NET/GATE certificates, experience certificates, if any, and an updated CV with a photo on it. Candidates are encouraged to bring along a Statement of Research Interest.

No TA/DA will be paid.
