Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of 1(one) Director, Directorate of Distance Education, Rabindra Bharati University [Purely on Contractual Basis for 1(one) year, which may be renewed subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent] from 23/06/2016 to 07/07/2016 to be downloaded from our website and submitted to the Establishment Section along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 300/-(Rupees Three Hundred only ) in favour of RABINDRA BHARATI UNIVERSITY payable at KOLKATA not later than 08/07/2016 (from 11 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on all university working days) Consolidated pay per month is Rs. 47,400/-. The applicants are requested to submit the duly filled-in application form with requisite testimonials along with Demand Draft and certificates along 6(six) copies of application form [Application form + six photo copies of application form and one copy each of all mark sheets, certificates, age proof and other testimonials (1 set)]. Details of requirements are given below:-

Necessary qualifications and criteria :

A) Essential:

i) A Ph. D. Degree with a high second class Masters Degree in any discipline in the areas of Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, Education, Commerce and Management.
ii) At least 10 years experience in teaching, research and/or extension including 5 years of professional experience at senior supervisory level in the areas of educational planning, management and development including institution building, systems development etc. Of this, at least 5 years should be in Readers/Associate Professors scale or its equivalent.
iii) Candidates with relevant experience in the Distance Education System will be preferred.

B) Pay: Rs. 47,400/-Per Month (fixed)

Fulfilment of minimum qualifications does not guarantee a call for interview. The University reserves the right to decide the number of candidates to be called for interview for a particular post. Incomplete applications are liable to be cancelled. C)Age : Not above 64 Years Candidates already in employment should apply through proper channel.
