The School of Continuing Education (SOCE) desires to engage Consultants/ Jr. Consultants (two positions) (full time) in the discipline of Nutritional Sciences, initially for a period of six months.

Name of the Post: Consultant and /or Jr. Consultant Number of Posts: Two Remuneration: Consultant - Rs. 40,000 - Rs. 60,000; Jr. Consultant - Rs 30,000 - Rs 50,000

Essential qualifications and Experience A) Consultant

Candidates who preferably have a Ph.D degree with a minimum of 55% marks at Masters Level (Food and Nutrition/Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics) with 3-5 years of work experience

B) Jr. Consultant

Masters in Food and Nutrition/Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics with 55% marks and preferably NET qualified.

Job Profile

The nature of work at IGNOU would involve conceptualization and initiation of programme of study/intervention in the above mentioned areas of Food and Nutrition addressed individually or collectively through the Open and Distance Learning mode. The job would also include writing and editing course material, assignments; coordinating with study centres and learners of the Nutritional Sciences discipline; and assisting the Programme Coordinator in the day-to-day activities of the various programmes offered by the discipline of Nutritional Sciences.
