ARMY RECRUITMENT RALLY - RO (HO) CHENNAI

FROM 19 JULY 2017 TO 25 JULY 2017 AT THIRUVANNAMALAI

1. Army Recruitment Rally under the aegis of Headquarters Recruiting Zone, Chennai will be conducted by Recruiting Office (HQ), Chennai from 19 July 2017 to 25 July 2017 at Thiruvannamalai to enroll eligible candidates into the Army from 07 districts of Tamilnadu State viz Vellore, Thiruvannamalai, Chennai, Cuddalore, Tiruvallur, Villupuram, Kancheepuram and Puducherry District of the UT of Puducherry in Soldier Technical, Soldier Technical (Amn/Avn), Soldier Nursing Assistant, Soldier General Duty, Soldier Clerk/Store Keeper Technical, Soldier Tradesman Categories. Candidates will have to apply online only, on the official web site www.joinindianarmy.nic.in from 04 Jun 2017 to 03 Jul 2017. Admit card will be issued online after 03 Jul 2017. Candidates are requested to bring their admit card and application at the rally site. Date of reporting at rally site will be intimated on admit card and thu.s take the print out of admit card after 03 Jul 2017 fromwww.joinindianarmy.nic.in.

1. Recruitment Programme. Date and time of Screening of documents, Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test will be intimated to the candidates'in their Admit Cards on their e-mail ID.

1. Medical Exam of Candidates. Primary medical examination will be carried out with effect from 20 Jul 2017 at Rally Site.

   Notes:-

   1. Candidates with 10+2 Vocational Subjects are not eligible for Soldier Technical & Soldier Clerk/ Store Keeper Technical categories. They can apply for Soldier Tradesman/Soldier General Duty if meeting required percentage of marks.

   2. Candidates who are below 18 years of age will have to bring their parents consent certificate.

   3. Sportsmen who have represented India at International level and State at National level and even if they have not obtained 1st; 2ndposition are eligible for relaxation 1n physical standards and bonus marks in Common Entrance Examination (if passed subsequently) as per laid down policies on the subject.

   4. Sportsmen who have represented district at state level and university team or regional team at district level and have earned 1st/ 2nd positibn will be eligible for physical relaxation and bonus marks in Common Entrance Examination ( if passed subsequently) as per laid down policies on the subject.

   5. With effect frorif-Jan 2014 for Clerk category, the entire question paper (all 50 questions) will be attempted on OMR Sheet and no separate subjective answer sheet will be used for English section.

CANDIDATES WILL REPORT TO THIRUVANNAMALAI (TAMILNADU) AT 0030 HRS ON THE SCHEDULED DATE AS PER THE PROGRAMME GIVEN IN THEIR ADMIT CARD ON THEIR E-MAIL ID.

	Soldier Clerk/ Store Keeper Technical	162	50	77cms & 5 cms expansion	(i) Should have secured 50% marks in each subject and 60% marks in aggregate in crtass XII. (ii) Should have studied English and Math/Accts/Book Keeping in Class XII or class X and should have secured minimum 50% marks in each of these subjects, whether studied in Class XII or X. (iii) Even if a candidate is graduate or has a higher qualification, percentage marks scored in Class XII would be applicable towards his eligibility.

1. The candidates who have passed cl 10th with GPA/ grade sys will also carry their mark sheet showing marks in figure obtained from respective board. The marks sheet may be produced preferably during the rally and is a mandatory requirement for appearing in the CEE.

   
   

   1. Age Group. Age of the candidate will be counted as on 01 Oct 2017. Age criteria for recruitment rally will be as under : -

2. Other Conditions .

   1. The candidates should be medically fit to join Indian Army at the time of Rally.

   2. Indian Army will enroll only unmarried candidate's up to the age of 21 years.

   3. Tatoo/Enoravinq. Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearm i.e from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of palm/back (dorsal) side of hand. Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body is not acceptable and candidate will be barred from further select ion . Tribes with tattoo mark on the face or body as per their existing custom and traditions will be permitted on a caste to caste basis.

3. Registration. All candidates are required to register themselves online on the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in and apply online wef 04 Jun 2017 to 03 Jul 2017, Kindly read instructions for registration and filling application forms on HQ Rtg Zone, Chenna i web page of the join Indian army website.

4. Selection Procedure . The under mentioned tests are mandatory for all:-

   1.Physical Fitness Test (PFT):-

   1. 1.6 KM Run for all categories - for Gp I - 5 min 30 secs

      - for Gp-II- From 5 min 31 secs to 5 min 45 secs

   2. 9 Feet Ditch Jump

   3. Pull Ups, minimum six

   4. Balancing Beam

      ( b) Physical Measurement Test ( PMT). As per eligibility requirement of category given at Paragraph 4 (Eligibility Conditions).

      1. Medical. The Medical Examination will be carried out on dates given by Medical Team. Candidates to check for date of Medical Examination at rally site. Candidates found medically UNFIT at rally site will report to concerned medical specialist at MH Chennai / CH (AF) Bangalore along with 03 x latest passport size photograph. Candidate will ensure that review medical 1is carried out on the given date.

      2. Common Entrance Examination. All the candidates who have been declared fit at rally site in the Medical Examination will undergo a Common Entrance Examination conducted by Recruitment Office (HQ), Chennai at the location and date which will be informed later .

      
      

      10 . Document Required. Candidates are advised to bring the following documents in original on the day of rally as per programme. The documents should be laminated, arranged properly in a sequence and contained in a file cover along with one set of Photostat copy of each duly attested by a Gazetted Officer with his name and seal in English. Candidates are advised to check their certificate and Marks Sheet for mismatch of name, Date of Birth, Parents name, School and other particulars in various certificates. All seals and language should be in ENGLISH:-

1. 1. SSC Mark Sheet (X).

   2. Intermediate Mark Sheet ( XII ) .

   3. Degree Mark Sheet .

   4. Nativit Communit Caste & Date of Birth Certificate.

      
      

      Candidates to produce latest automated Nativity, Community and Date of Birth Certificate issued by District Administration of Tamilnadu / UT of Puducherry in English. Residence Certificate holders are not allowed to participate in the rally.

      ( e) Study and Conduct Certificate from last education institute in English (Not more than six month old).

      1. Character Certificate from Village Sarpanch /Administrative Officer in English. (Not more than six month old).

      2. Transfer certificate in original in ENGLISH.

      3. NCC/Sports/ITI & Computer certificate of 0++ level if held.

      4. NCC/Sports/ITI/

      In case of Non Matric Candidates, Transfer Certificate sjgned by Headmaster/Principal of the school & countersigned by District Education Officer and Mark Sheet of last examination appeared, duly affixed with school seal and attested by Headmaster. Seal and language should be in English.

      Twelve latest coloured 34mm x 45mm passport size photographs not taken earlier than six months with Name and Date of Birth printed on bottom of photographs of the candidates. The photograph should be without facial hair (Beard) and preferably with light coloured background and plain/light coloured shirt.

2. SOS/SOEX/Son of war widow & battle casualty

   1. There is provision for instant enrolment for Son of Service person and Ex-ser vicemen. Sons of War Widows and Battle Casualties, Eligible candidates to contact concerned Army Recruiting Office.

   2. In case of son of serving soldier of JCO/OR or Officer/son of Ex Servicemen, relationship certificate duly signed by Chief Record Officer/Senior Record Officer of respective Record Office with date of birth, Joint Photographs of the candidate with his father will be produced.

   3. In case of the recruitment of dependent of Servicemen/Ex-setvicemen an affidavit duly authenticated by Notory/Class-I Magistrate to be given by th parent of the candidate that only one son/brother will be taking bonus marks to get enrolled in the Army. Format of affidavit is attached with the notification.

3. Pay and Allowances and other Facilities. After enrolment a soldier is entitled to get approxRs 23,000/- per month as per sixth pay commission and allowances as admissible along with other facilities such as free ration/ ration money, clothing, medical for self and accommodation, Railway warrant for self and dependents, Group Housing Scheme, Army Group Insurance Scheme of Rs 25,00,000/-. The other privileges are fully paid Annual Leave up to a maximum of 60 days, Casual Leave up to a maximum of 30 days, Medical Leave as recommended by Medical authorities and Leave Encashment up to 30 days in a calendar year and maximum 300 days in service.

1. Pension . Service pension is admissible to an individual on completion of mandatory minimum service and subject to rank.

1. Promotion . A Sepoy can become an officer/ Junior Commissioned Officer subject to certain laid down service conditions .

1. Advisory .

   1. Candidates to be self contained for food and water on the day of documentation, the day of screening and the days of medical examination. No candidate will be allowed to go out of the rally ground during the documentation/screening/medicaI tests.

   2. Candidates are advised to report to the rally site strictly as per programme given to avoid overcrowding and unnecessary waiting at rally site.

   3. Candidates are advised to take care of their documents/belongings against theft during rally.

   4. Mobiles, tabs and calculators are not permitted at the rally site.
   5. Candidate should preferably view the film on recruitment procedure at a rally site' on You Tube (Join Indian Army, be a winner of life in Tamil) prior to reporting for rally.

1. Cautions for all Candidates.

   1. andidates are to _be .aware that on enrolment into the Indian Army, there will be certain 1mpl1cat1ons and restrictions on the Fundamental Rights guaranteed to him by the Constitution of India as per provisions of the Army Act (1950) and Army Rule (1954). The candidate will also have to furnish and undertaking to the effect during enrolment.

   2. Army will not be responsible for any injury or death caused to candidate during recruitment rally. The candidate will participate at his own risk.

   3. Recruitment is a free service and candidates are cautioned against falling victim to unscrupulous elements/middlemen/agents/touts. Paying money to agents/touts is a crime . Candidates are advised not to waste time and money on such activity. No one can help except your hard work and merit .

   4. Biometric identification & hand writing analysis will be done at each stage. Imposters will be caught & handed over to Police.

   5. Use of any unfair means will make the candidate liable to disqualification at any stages of recruitment whenever found. He will be handed over to Police thereafter.

   6. Production of fake certificate and making of false declaration will lead to cancellation of candidature and criminal prosecution under the law.

   7. The candidates are liable to be screened for use of Physical performance enhancing drugs during recruitment rally. Candidates are liable to be disqualified for use of physical performance enhancing drugs during recruitment rall y. Army will not be responsible for any mishap during the run/other physical test due to consumption of drugs.

   8. Military service is a volunteer service.

      1. Text given in English language will be treated as correct in case of mismatch of interpretation in Tamil language.
