- Specific Conditions for Junior Technical Assistant (JTA):
i) The above mentioned staff position is temporary and likely to continue as long as the self financing ME Course continues. ii) The minimum period for which the course shall continue will be three years. iii) The post shall carry all the benefits admissible to regular staffs except for the LTC. iv) The post shall be non-pensionable and shall carry the facility of CPF (Contributory Provident Fund). v) The post shall carry the benefit of HRA (House Rent Allowance) but will not be entitled for allotment of government accommodation / leased accommodation.

vi) Mere fulfillment of essential qualification requirements does not entitle candidates to appear in the interview. Selection committee may use suitable short listing criteria including test.
vii) Existing staff members of PEC University of Technology, if selected on this post will treated as per the existing government guidelines.
(E) Selection Criteria for selection of Junior Technical Assistant (JTA) under ME CSE (IS)
The following 03 methods may be used for the selection of the candidate:
i) Screening Test (Objective Type Questions) shall be held in case number of eligible applicants are more than 10.
ii) Technical Competence Test (Subjective Questions)
iii) Interview
iv) Test#1 will be the Qualifying test from where all candidates having 50% marks will qualify Test#1 and will become eligible to appear for Test#2. The syllabus shall be based on Diploma in Computer Engg. of Punjab State Board Technical Education with the focus on Network Infrastructure & Security.
v) In the second test i.e. the Technical Competence test, upto maximum of 10 candidates will shortlisted to appear for the interview based upon the Merit in Second Test.
vi) The final evaluation criteria will have the following weightages:
a) Screening Test (Objective Type Questions) : 40% b) Technical Competence Test (Subjective Questions) : 40% c) Interview : 20%

Proforma filled in all aspect should reach the office of the Head, CSRC, PEC University of Technology, Sector-12, Chandigarh 160012 on or before 14.03.2017. Test and / or interview of short listed candidates will be conducted on 17.03.2017. Incomplete applications or those not in prescribed format will not be considered.
- All the Diplomas / Certificates (ITI) are to be AICTE/ DGE&T approved as the case may be along with approval of respective State Board / Government.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview/test.
