WALK IN INTERVIEW

Department of Law, Sikkim University will be conducting a walk-in-interview for one Post of Research (Field) Investigator for the Project titled Role of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Human Trafficking from North East India into Myanmar for Commercial Sexual Exploitation-Review of Jurisdictional Boundaries in Law Enforcement under the supervision of Dr. Nidhi Saxena (PI) and Mr. Veer Mayank (Co-PI) funded by ASEAN Studies Centre, Shillong and the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. The initial period of appointment would be for a period of 15 days which may be further extended for required number of days depending upon the requirements of the project and the performance of the candidate. The maximum number of days a candidate could be engaged is Thirty (30) days and such engagement may be for a continuous period or a non-continuous period, depending upon the requirements of the project. The remuneration shall be Rs. 1000/-per day for the days actually spent in the survey area. No other allowance (e.g. TA/DA/Lodging / etc.) shall be admissible.

a.

The interview will be held in the Department of Law, Sikkim University, Tadong, Gangtok, East Sikkim on 7 December, 2017 at 4:00 PM.

b.

Minimum qualification for the post is LLB/LLM/MA (Sociology/Economics/Anthropology/ Political Science) (regular from UGC recognized University) with minimum 55% marks. Preference however shall be given to candidate with prior field investigation experience.

c.

Interested candidates are requested to bring along their CVs / bio-data along with the application and supporting documents in original on the date of the interview.

d.

The post is purely temporary and in any case co-terminus with the project.

e.

The field visit shall be out of the State of Sikkim during the months of December and January.

f.

No TA/DA shall be admissible to the candidates for appearing at the interview.
