Advertisement for the position of 01 Junior Research Fellow, in a JICA Assisted Sikkim Biodiversity Conservation and Forest Management Project, Department of Forest, Environment and Wildlife Management Department, Government of Sikkim, at the Department of Botany, Sikkim University, Gangtok, Sikkim

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a research project with following details:

Title of the project: Study of Oak forest ecosystem in Sikkim Himalaya with special reference to climate change, plant species diversity and distribution

Co-Investigator: Dr. N. Bijayalaxmi Devi, Department of Botany, Sikkim University

Name of the positions: Junior Research Fellow (01 No.) tenable at Department of Botany, Sikkim University

Essential qualifications: M.Sc. in Botany or relevant discipline preferably with NET or equivalent.

Desirable qualification: Experience of working in mountain environment. Candidate with NET qualification or equivalent will be preferred.

Fellowship: As per the UGC norms.
