Subject: Filling up th post of Director, National Council for Promotion of Sindhi

Language (NCPSL) in Revised Pay Band PB-4 Rs37,400-67,000+ Grade Pay 8,700/- - reg.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up th post of Director, National Council for Promotion of Sindhi Language (NCPSL), New Delhi in pre-Revised Pay Band PB-4 Rs37.400-67,000+ Grade Pay 8,700/-.

2 The details of th post and eligibility conditions alongwith proforma for application is enclosed.

3 The officers selected for appointment will be treated on transfer/deputation as th case may be and will be governed as per existing rules. The officers once selected wil not be allowed to withdraw.

4 The vacancy may please be circulated amongst suitable persons and applications (in duplicate) in th prescribed proforma along with complete and up-to-date Annual Confidential Reports/APAR of suitable persons who could be spared in th event of their selection, may be sent to th undersigned within 30 days from th date issue of advertisement for th above post in th Employment News/Rozgar Samachar.

5 While forwarding th applications, it may please be verified and certified that th particulars furnished by th candidates are correct and no disciplinary action is pending or being contemplated against th officer. The integrity of th officer may also be certified.

ADVERTISMENT FOR THE POST OF DIRECTOR

Applications are invited for th post of Director, National Council for Promotion of Sindhi Language (NCPSL), New Delhi, an autonomous body fully funded by th Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India from persons possessing qualifications and experience mentioned below in th prescribed proforma published in th Employment News / Rozgar Samachar. Pay Scale: Pay Band PB-4 Rs.37 ,400-67,000/- plus Grade Pay of Rs.8,700/- (pre-revised)

Oualification:

Essential:

(1) Masters Degree in Sindhi Language/Literature OR Masters Degree in Linguistics with excellent knowledge of Sindhi. (2) Minimum 55% marks in th Masters Degree examination (3) In th case of Non-Ph.D candidates: Published Research/literary work in Sindhi of recognized merit.

Desirable:

(I) Ph.D in Sindhi OR Ph.D in Linguistics with good knowledge of Sindhi language (2) Good knowledge of one or more Indian languages in addition lo Sindhi (3) Knowledge of modem principles and techniqucs of lcxicography.

Expcricnce:

(a) For Non-Ph.D Candidatesi Ten (IO) years in group A level post OR Five (5) years in a post carrying pre-revised pay scale of Rs. 12,000-16,500/-.

(b) For Ph.D Candidates: Five (5) Years in group A level post.

Explanation Administrative Experience means experience as head of an academic institution (including th Head of Department in a College or University) OR Experience in administrative capacity in a Government, locai body or autonomous nrganization, preferably connected with th area of education/languages.

Method of Recruitment

By transfer or deputation from among th officers under th Central/State Government/Universities/autonomous bodies holding analogous posts or with five (5) years Service in th pre-revised pay - scale of Rs. 12000-16500/- with th educational qualifications given above and minimum fifteen (15) years experience in th discipline.

Age limit

Age of superannuation is 60 years. The Candidate selected should have a minimum period of three years of Service left before superannuation age on th closing date of receipt of application. The tenure would be initially for three years extendable up to five years. Retiring/Retired officers govemed by

State Government rules may be engaged on Contract basis until 60 years of age provided they fulfil essential qualifications.
