Project-2: STUDIES ON THE MOTH FAUNA OF PACHMARHI BIOSPHERE RESERVE -AN ASSESSMENT OF THE SPECIES RICHNESS, RELATIVE ABUNDANCE AND DISTRIBUTION AS ENVIRONMENTAL INDICATORS (Junior Research/Project Fellow-1; Field Assistant-1)

Essential Qualification (JRF): Master degree in Zoology/ Environmental Science/ Wildlife Science/ Life Sciences with Zoology as a major subject in undergraduate/post graduate course from a recognized University with minimum of 60% marks.

Essential Qualification (FA): B.Sc. with Zoology as one of the subjects from a recognized University with minimum of 60% marks.

Desirable (JRF/FA): Research experience in taxonomy, systematics, zoology or allied subject, field survey experience in wildlife, wildlife photography, knowledge of Computer and basic field data collection.

Fellowship (JRF): Rs. 25,000/-plus HRA (NET/GATE qualified) per month for the initial two years and in third year Rs 28,000/-plus 16% HRA. In case of Non-NET qualified, fellowship of Rs.16000/-plus 16% HRA per month for first two years and Rs.18,000/-plus 16% HRA will be provided.

Remuneration for Field Assistant: Rs.8000/-(consolidated) per month.

Upper age limit : 28 yrs. on the date of the interview for JRFs and 40 years for Field Assistant

General Instructions:

1. The positions are for a period of one year initially and purely on temporary basis and will be terminated on completion of the assignment. However, the tenure of the JRF/FA will continue for further period based on satisfactory performance and assessment through Expert Committee.
   
   
2. The JRFs/FA are expected to undertake extensive field surveys in the mountains, forests, and wetlands and therefore, required to be physically fit to undertake research in terrain and hostile conditions. JRFs/FA will be require to survey in the Protected Area distributed throughout the spatial extent of the central India and will be posted in field, under Central Zone Regional Centre, Jabalpur.
   
   
3. The upper age limit is 28 years for JRF and 40 years for Field Assistant and as on the date of interview. The age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years, as in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/women (as per GoI rules).

   2. 10:30 AM on the day of interview at Zoological Survey of India, Central Zone Regional Centre, 68-169, Vijaya Nagar, Jabalpur-482002, Madhya Pradesh.
4. Candidates should bring the duly filled-in application with one set of testimonials of qualifications, experience, date of birth etc. along with copies of mark sheets of all examinations. All original documents should be produced at the time of registration for verifications.
   
   
5. The selected candidate needs to join immediately or at a short notice at the Central Zone Regional Centre, Zoological Survey of India, Jabalpur.
   
   
6. No TA/DA will be provided to the candidates for appearing for the interview.
