Advertisement for temporary project position

Applications are invited for a temporary position of Junior Research Fellow/Project Fellow in the Inter University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), New Delhi sponsored research project entitled Studies on photocatalytic, photoluminescence and mechanical properties of WS2/C-dot nanoscale systems subjected to irradiation under Dr. D. Mohanta, Associate Professor, Department of Physics, Tezpur University and Principal Investigator.

Duration: Three (03) years or till completion of the project or until further order, whichever is earlier.

Essential qualification : Consistently good academic career with a first class M.Sc. in Nano-Science and Technology or M.Sc. in Physics with specialization in Condensed Matter Physics/Materials Science from a recognized University.

Desirable qualification: UGC-CSIR NET/GATE and/or previous research experience as evident from published paper(s).

Remuneration : For NET/GATE qualified candidate, Rs. 16,000/- (Rupees sixteen thousand) only per month for the first two years and Rs. 18,000/- (Rupees eighteen thousand) only per month for the third year subject to satisfactory research progress. For non-NET/GATE qualified candidate, Rs. 14,000/- (Rupees fourteen thousand) only per month for the first two years and Rs. 16,000/- (Rupees sixteen thousand) only per month for the third year subject to satisfactory research progress.

Age : Candidate shall not be more than 28 years of age on the last date of receiving application in response to the advertisement. The upper age limit may be relaxed as per the Govt. of India rules.

The candidates need to produce original testimonials from high school onwards along with caste certificate (if any), NET or similar certificate and experience certificate (if any) along with self-attested photocopies of certificates, marksheets and research articles on the date of interview.

N.B : No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.
