Walk-in-Interview

A walk-in-interview will be held at 11 am on 21st September 2017 (Thursday) in the Department of Physics, Tezpur University for a temporary position of one (01) Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the DST-SERB sponsored research project entitled Studies on bifunctional (wetting-dewetting and biophotonic colouration) properties of certain natural systems of biological origin under Dr. Dambarudhar Mohanta, Associate Professor, Department of Physics, Tezpur University.

Duration: Three (03) years or till completion of the project or until further order, whichever is earlier.

Essential qualification : Consistently good academic career with a first class Masters degree in Physics with

specialization in Condensed Matter Physics/Photonics/ Spectroscopy from a recognized University with UGC-CSIR NET/GATE or similar examinations.

Desirable qualification: Previous research experience as evident from published paper(s).

Remuneration : Rs. 25,000/-(Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only) per month for the first two years and Rs. 28,000/-(Rupees Twenty Eight Thousand) only per month for the third year, subject to adequate research progress. HRA per month will be admissible as per rules.

Age : Candidate should not be more than 28 years of age on the date of interview. The upper age limit may be relaxed as per the Govt. of India rules.

N.B : No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.

Interested candidates may appear before the interview board with original testimonials from high school onwards along with caste certificate (if applicable), NET/GATE or similar certificate and experience certificate (if any), self-attested photocopies of certificates, marksheets and other relevant documents, a recent signed CV, and research articles (if any) on the date of interview.
