Application are invited from suitable candidates for two (2) posts of Project Assistant in the Department of Geological Sciences, Gauhati University in an Oil India Ltd sponsored project entitled, Study of hydrocarbon potential, depositional environment and geological mapping of the Disang-Barail transitional sequence in Assam, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh. The tenure of the project is 2 years. The salary of the Project Assistants is Rs. 20,000/-+ 15% HRA per month. The candidates should be M.Sc or M.Tech in Geology. The candidates should have sound knowledge in the subjects of Organic Geochemistry and Organic Petrology. The candidates should also be able to conduct geological mapping in terrains of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Nagaland. The selected candidates shall have to work in laboratories in the Department of Geological Sciences, GU and Centre of Excellence for Energy Studies, Oil India Ltd., Guwahati. The applications must reach the undersigned within seven days from the date of publication of the advertisement. The candidates can submit signed copies application and supporting certificates and documents by email to the Principal Investigator. However, the candidates, called for the interview, will require to submit hardcopies of the same at the time of interview.
