ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POST OF JRF/SRF/RA IN CSIR SPONSORED PROJECT

Thapar University (TU), one of leading centers for research and teaching in the country, provides excellent facilities and ideal atmosphere to persue research in advanced fields of Science & Technology. TU invites application for the post of JRF/SRF/RA in a CSIR sponsored research project entitled Polylactide-polypropylene blends: Preparation, characterization, degradability and eco-toxicity studies. Eligible candidates meeting the minimum qualifications and want to persue higher education in this advanced field of Science & Technology, may send their curriculum vitae along with contact details of two referees either by email (hbhunia@thapar.edu) or through post on or before October 3, 2017. Position: JRF/SRF/RA (One)

Qualifications:

JRF: First class B.E/B.Tech. (Chemical Engg/Polymer Engg) with two years of relevant research experience supported by publications with NET/GATE exam qualified.

SRF: First Class B.E./B.Tech. (Chemical Engineering/Polymer Engineering) and M.E./M.Tech. in Chemical Engg./Polymer Engg./Biochemical Engg./Environmental Engg. GATE qualified candidates will be preferred.

RA: Ph.D. in (Chemical Engg/Polymer Engg./Biochemical Engg.) or Ph.D. thesis submitted

Duration of project: The duration of the project is three years. However, the initial appointment will be for one year, and may be extended based on the candidates performance. The appointment is purely temporary and will be coterminous with the completion of the project.

Age Limit: 28, 32 and 35 years for JRF, SRF and RA respectively as on October 3, 2017.

Fellowship and other allowances: As per CSIR norms.

Benefits: The selected candidate has the provision to register for Ph.D. program of the university, as per the prevailing University guidelines. GATE qualified candidates may also be given half tuition fee waiver as per University norms.
