Applications are invited forfor the appointment of Guest Facu aculty in the following discipline for the academic session 2017-2018 (Semester-wise) in the Department of Evening Studies MDRC, Panjab University, Chandigarh:MDRC, Panjab University, Chandigarh:-

Qualifications:

i) Good academic record record as defined by the concerned University University with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/Physically /ST/Physically & Visually Handicapped) Handicapped) or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever scale wherever grading system is followed at the Masters degree level in a relevant subject subject from an Indian University, or or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.from an accredited foreign University.

ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate candidate should have either cleared the National Eligibility Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the the UGC, or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

Further, the award of degrees degrees to candidates registered forfor the M.Phil/Ph.D programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/ Ordinances/ By laws/ Regulations of the Institution Institution awarding the degrees and the Ph.D candidates candidates shall be exempted from the the requirement of the minimum eligibility conditioncondition of NET/SLET/SET forfor recruitment and appointment of Assistant Assistant Professor or equivalent positions positions in Universities / Colleges / Institutions subject to theColleges / Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:fulfillment of the following conditions:

(a)

(b)

Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners;

(c)

Candidate had published two research papers out of which at least one in a refereed journal from out of his/her Ph.D. work;

(d)

The candidate had presented two papers in seminars/conferences from out of his/her Ph.D. work;

(e)

Open Ph.D. viva-voce of the candidate had been conducted.

to (e) as above are to be certified by the Vice-Chancellor/ Pro-Vice-Chancellor/ Dean (Academic Affairs)/Dean (University Instructions)

iv. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

The applicants are required to fill the application form raised as per the modification of 4^th amendment available on Panjab University Website (http://jobs.puchd.ac.in/forms.php) for Assistant Professors (Page 1 to 9) and submit the application form (one copy only) duly filled in along with the attested copies of the academic testimonials/certificates to the DES-MDRC office latest

by 08-02-2018 before 07.00 pm.

The above mentioned is on lecture basis with a token honorarium of Rs. 1000/-per lecture with the ceiling of Rs. 25000/-per month.
