Advertisement for the post of Proiect Assistant
Applications are invited for the position of a Project Assistant in the DST sponsored project entitled
"Investigations of Some New Metallic Alloy Systems in Regard to their Synthesis, Structure and Properties" under II{SPIRE Faculty research grant sanction order no. IFA12-PH-39. The selected candidate will work under this project on the problems i) Synthesis, Characterization and Mechanical Properties of Nanostructured Materials ii) Structure detennination of quasicrystal approximants in Al-Co-Ni alloy using different processing programs e.g. Rotation E,lectron Diffraction (RED), SHELX.
Fellowship: Consolidated salary of Rs 10,000 per month. No additional allowances such as HRA etc. will be provided.
Essential Qualification : M.Sc. lM. Tech Physics/Applied PhysicsA.Janoscience and Nanotechnology/Material Science with at least 55% marks, with consistently good academic record.
Desirable Qualilication : Candidates with working knowledge in the field of crystallography, structure (m icro-structure) characterization and mechanical properly measurement techniques will be given preference.
The selected candidate will be appointed on purely temporary basis, initially for a period of one year or till his / her services are required by the Principal investigator or till validity of the project, whichever is earlier.
