Candidates of Indian nationality are invited to appear for the Walk-in test / interview for project appointments for Institutional IT technical services at IIT Jammu. The appointments shall be done initially for one year which will be extended upto 3 years.

Project Associate (Web Services) - (1) Rs.35,000-45,000/- p.m. (Including HRA) with yearly increment upto 10% on satisfactory services. 1st class B.E./B.Tech.(Computer Science / ECE / IT). Desirable: One year relevant experience in Web development technologies and technology evaluation and rollout. Role and responsibilities: Manage update and maintain Web services at IIT Jammu IIT Jammu Portal maintenance IIT Jammu coordination for ERP initiative Running students workshops for exposure to technologies Technical Requirements: The candidate should be well-versed with the following technologies. Front End. Web fundamentals like HMTL, JavaScript, and CSS, JavaScript Frameworks like AngularJS, React, or Ember etc. or JS-based build tools like Grunt, Gulp, and Bower Libraries like jQuery Front-end (CSS) frameworks like Foundation or Bootstrap, AJAX. Back-End. API design and development CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) RESTful Services Web fundamentals like HTML, JavaScript, and CSS Server-side languages like any one of Node PHP, Python Django, Rails CMS like any one of Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress etc. Database technologies like MySQL, Oracle, PostgresSQL, and MongoDB Web server technologies like Node.js, Apache, Nginx, ISS, etc.
Project Engineer / Scientist (System Architect)- (1) Rs.55,000-65,000/- p.m. (Including HRA) with yearly increment upto 10% on satisfactory services. 1st class B.Tech. and M.Tech,. in Computer Science and Engineering / Computer Engineering 2 years or more relevant experience in Industry or Institute of national repute Knowledge of data center technology, campus networking, e-Learning technologies. Description: The System Architects role is to strategically conceptualize, design and implement in-house information systems and networked software architectures. This professional will gain organizational commitment for all systems and software plans, as well as evaluate and select all technologies required to complete those plans. The System Architect will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions, and also will also define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
Responsibilities (not exhaustive): Implementation / Development / Operation / Maintenance of e-Services: IIT Jammu Email IIT Jammu LMS IIT Jammu Web Portals IIT Jammu Library management System IIT Jammu Data Center IIT Jammu High Performance Computing service IIT Jammu Campus Network Service management and expansion Setting up Lab infrastructure for Computer Science and Engineering Department Assistance in UG CSE courses
Sr. Project Engineer / Scientist (IT Services) - (1) Rs.65,000-75,000/- p.m. (including HRA) with yearly increment upto 10% on satisfactory services. 1st class B.Tech. and M. Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering / Computer Engineering discipline from reputed Institutions 5 + years of experience in relevant IT Industry Experience of having worked in team and leading teams Excellent communication and inter-personal skills Project Manager will be responsible for overall strategy for workflow automation and IT requirements / policy assistance at Institute. This role requires effective coordination of projects and management of interdependencies including oversight of any potential risks and issues arising during design, implementation and deployment of solutions. Project manager will bring various stakeholders together to bring quality deliverable for better sustainable end results. Role and responsibilities: Setup and manage various automation and IT solutions IIT Jammu ERP roll out IIT Jammu Academic Records repositories IIT Jammu Data Center and Private Cloud IIT Jammu Digital Library Assistance to setup Labs in CSE Department Assistance in CSE Labs and courses

The candidates who fulfill the above qualifications/experience should appear for the interview. Kindly bring your formal application on Form No. IRD/REC-4, which can be downloaded from IRD, IIT Delhi (http://ird.iitd.ac.in/rec) through proper channel along with complete information regarding educational qualifications indicating percentage of marks of each examination passed, details of work experience and a recent passport size photograph, along with original certificates (both academic & professional) for verification on the date of interview. No candidate, who is already employed at the Institute / IRD shall be interviewed unless his/her application has been duly forwarded by their concerned establishment/sections. 5% relaxation of marks may be granted to the SC/ST Candidates.
